pSX,

No games fixes in this release? If so then I will skip retesting the games on this release.

There's a very significant change you'll want to test, kinghanco. pSX Author has now added centring for images that aren't in the same ratio as the screen. This should fix all your "out of range" errors - if the images not being centred is what you mean by that.

@nightmareci: pSX in Windows does let you set the fullscreen resolution and refresh rate: hopefully, pSX Author intends implementing this for the Linux version as well, at some point.

FMV's are now properly centered.

Not just FMV's, the ingame scenes are centered as well. :) Tested with Grandia and Lunar, which both were docked to upper left corner before. Hooray!

Great release.

Hi, i'm using zenwalk 4.2 with a geforce 4200 ti, nvidia 9361 driver, 3d desktop enabled via beryl
I've tested the emu with a few games and they are working fine(windowed and fullscreen). The only problem that i've found is the same as specified by arbee. If i disable bilinear filtering i dont have image anymore, if i reactivate bilinear eveything is ok. Thats not a big problem but wanted to let you know, maybe it's a bug
Sorry for my english

Most definitely a bug -- I'm experiencing the same.

Centered is good. But one problem. The screen is move upper. Here is example. That ok though. I can live showing this way as long the top isn't cut off.

Darkstalkers 3 [NTSC] [US and Canada] [SLUS-00745]

Starting next week I'm going to re-test all the games that I tested before. I got some other games that I haven't tested yet.

I did tested Echo Nights. It seem ok. But I need to test the graphics on my playstation and then compare it on pSX screen to see any different on the graphics.

Sorry about off topic.

Well, I also had that problem concerning going fullscreen via command line, although following jking's suggestion may solve the problem. Just to state that Ultima's frontend has probably nothing to do with that, as I don't use it.

Now, as usual, you've done a great job, pSX Author -- Descent games look way more... 'normal', now, heh...

@Mika: Yeah, those were actually two of the games I had tested (out of 4 or 5). I was just being lazy when I said "FMV's", cuz I figured everybody would know what I meant... Sorry about that.

@Melanogaster: The problem *I* was having had to do with pSX Frontend. I hadn't realized upon first discovering it that it was actually a completely different problem than what was already being reported. Luckily Ultima released a WIP release of his next version, which has fixed the problem.

@kinghanco: I'm now finding that my games all seem to be correctly centred - I think many other people are, too. Are you sure your monitor screen is correctly aligned for the resolution you're running pSX at?

Edit: you may need to set the correct Full screen Aspect Ratio for your monitor in pSX Graphics configuration, too.

Thanks for the linux port!

But i have a problem with it. If i try to load a BIN/CUE or CDZ image it crashes. It seems to generate a core dump dump but inmediately after the core dump it's deleted. So i cannot load any kind of cd image in pSX.

I'm using ubuntu edgy eft.

Well, images made with clonecd seem to work.

The images which don't work were made with cdrdao (a linux tool) like this web site recommends: http://linuxreviews.org/howtos/cdrecording/

As the web site not directly says cdrdao makes a cd image as like if it was made with cdrwin.

[linux]
I have to stick with a WIP build of pSX. I have to use the nvidia 9631 driver. Envy doesn't let me upgrade to 97x because it says theat it doen't support my card (Geforce Ti 4200, 8x AGP) anymore and that 9631 is the "new legacy driver".

Is envy wrong? is there a chance that pSX will run with 9631 in the future? Any suggestions?

I am using ubuntu 6.10.
