Amano, i'm using pSX with a geforce fx5200 and the 9631 drivers and no problem. Just be sure bilinear interpolation is activated, because without it the emulator doesn't display anything (maybe a bug i must say).

So what happens when you try to use pSX, amano? From what reztho says, it's not the driver - but it's a bit difficult to make any sort of evaluation if you don't tell us what the problem is.

Well. It just doesn't start up. It works with the WIP (the one before the SSE2 optimized came out), but not with all the WIPs and the final after that. It just does... nothing.

This version works: pSX WIP which was changed on Sam 03 Feb 2007 20:39:22 CET

I've resolved my problem!

The .toc files generated by cdrdao are incompatible with .cue files, so there is a tool in the ubuntu repositories called cuetools, exactly cueconvert, which makes the conversion. Although i must say the tool isn't perfect: i had to delete a comment generated by cdrdao in the .toc file to let the tool make its work right. If someone wants to try it, cueconvert tells you what text line is wrong.

Well, that's good, reztho.

@amano: does the current pSX v1.11 work?

Do you have libgtkglext1 installed? For good measure, you'll find that libgtkglext1-dev, libgtkglextmm1c2a and ibgtkglextmm1-dev seem to improve things, too - should all be available in Synaptic; just search for gtkglext.

Keep up the good work. I only recently started to use pSX emu and it owns, a new release owns even more. Give yourself (or selves) a pat on the back. I believe I speak for everyone when I say we appreciate the time and effort you have spent on t his project.

If I didn't have a girlfriend or a life, I would probably be playing with this emulator all day. Good job pSX Author.

@zohar: only one "self:" the emulator has been written and developed entirely by pSX Author.

@Melanogaster: The problem *I* was having had to do with pSX Frontend. I hadn't realized upon first discovering it that it was actually a completely different problem than what was already being reported. Luckily Ultima released a WIP release of his next version, which has fixed the problem.

I see... sorry about that, then.

I don't have the -dev packages installed. I will give that a try tomorrow (no bandwidth for this month anymore, they require 60 MBs with all the dependencies). Strange that it worked without them before.

"Current" pSX 1.11? Is it updated silently?

No, amano, the WIPs are updated silently but not, usually, the full versions. I was just referring to the fact that v1.11 is the current version. ;)

Well. Then it doesn't work with the current version. ;)

I will try and see if installing the -dev packages will make a difference and report back. Thanks for your help.

einrei it working fine here. I test it out.

Are you trying to load the save file that been made from 1.10? If so then the old save file might not work for 1.11.

F1 - F5 is for load.

F6 - F10 is for save.

Maybe it random bug?
