IMPORTANT LINKS TO CHECK
pSX Compatibility List: Listing of all reported games, and their compatibility status with pSX. PSX Master List: Comprehensive list of game titles, region, and game IDs. Please honor the site owner's request and save the file to disk for future viewing, as it is large, and AngelFire is a free host that does not provide unlimited bandwidth. Digital Press: A site with a large database of games for a LOT of game systems... you can search for games. PSX Copy Protection List: Listing of known copy protected PSX games. Protected PSX Games: Another listing of known copy protected PSX games. Games Frequently Asked About: Features the most frequently mentioned games and the known problems they hold.
REQUIRED INFORMATION
Accurate game name Game product ID (S**S_###.## file read by the PC when browsing the disc or disc image, or by checking the game disc/case itself) pSX Emulator version
IF ISSUES EXIST
INFORMATION YOU MIGHT WANT TO INCLUDE BIOS version (SCPH-#### or DTLH-####) Windows version Hardware specifications and Driver Versions when possible Disc image format used pSX settings, if they deviate from default Precise description of the problem
THINGS TO TRY Not loading from a quicksave if you are, as they might cause issues by saving corruption in memory and reloading that corruption. If you have problems at a certain point in the game, always try getting there from a memory card save first, as it rules out another source of problems. Using an uncompressed image if you're using CDZs, as some have reported them to not work sometimes Different game loading method (physical CD vs CD image, different image format, remove CUE files) Another version of pSX Another version of the BIOS Different memory card slot (if there are issues with memory cards) Trying a different pad mode (if there are control issues)
IF YOUR GAME IS RUNNING SLOWLY
THINGS TO TRYClose non-essential applications and programs Enter fullscreen mode (press Alt+Enter) Increase the process priority (requires Windows NT/2000/XP/2003/Vista, may require Administrator rights on the computer, and might cause system instability)Open Windows Task Manager (press Ctrl+Alt+Delete, or right-click the taskbar and select "Task Manager") Open the "Processes" tab, find the pSX process (psxfin.exe by default) Right-click the process name and set the priority to Above Normal or High Try a different (preferably newer) version of your video card and chipset drivers
