The main news with this release is the Linux port, but there are a few minor improvements to the Windows version too. - Ported to Linux
- Log window keyboard controls
- Added Arabic, Croatian, Norwegian, Persian and Russian translations
- Fixed bug in CD not usable error message dialog
- DEP no longer needs to be disabled in Windows for pSX to work
- Added aspect ratio correction
- Centred framebuffer when it doesn't cover the entire screen
- Fixed controller config dialog bug (pressing button fills all controls)

OH WOW! After running a couple tests, I am quite happy. The aspect ratio option is exactly what we had hoped for, and the FMV's are now properly centered. I'm sure everybody else will run more thorough tests, but I'm very happy with what's been done. Thanks a million!

Congratulation on the new release. Just a quick question. Are the translations hard-coded? I would think the natural way would be to have them be text files somewhere, but I couldn't find any. I'm just asking because I would very much like to fix the Norwegian translation, if only for myself. I hate to see my language mutilated. It's so full of mistakes, I can't bear to use it. No offence to the translator. We can't all be proficient language users.

Nope, it's built in (though I did suggest a separate file too a while ago). Meh, if anything, you can always ask pSX Author for the text to translate, and you can contribute the better translation back -- sending the translations back to pSX Author isn't too hard, it benefits lots of people, and you get happy Norwegians ;D Yay for aspect ratio correction! Thanks pSX Author

Translations can be loaded from a separate file for testing...
orusaka, is the email address in your profile correct? If so i'll send you the text file and instructions on how to test corrections...

Either it's on my side (which I doubt because other emulators work fine with AR), the aspect ratio option for my 5:4 monitor isn't working properly. Instead of putting black bars on the top and bottom, both left and right side are cut off. I also noticed 16:9 and 16:10 are resized vertically instead of horizontally. I hope I made a bit of sense in my explanation.

To create 4:3 output on a 16:9 monitor (or any other widescreen monitor) the emulator adds black bars to the sides...
Why would it add bars to the top and bottom?
I'm not really sure what you are getting at tbh ;p
Edit: hmm -actually 5:4 would be "narrow screen" actually wouldn't it? - in which case you are right - it should add bars to the top and bottom. But: I hadn't realised that there were monitors that were narrower than 4:3 so I didn't account for it in the code. Let me know if this is correct and I can adjust the code quite easily....

Using the full-screen switch on the Windows version crashes pSX for me, though the last version worked fine.

You are correct. I have a 19" LCD TV with a native resolution of 1280x1024 (5:4). It always needs correction to 4:3 which adds black bars to the top and bottom.

Problem with fullscreen switch confirmed. Though for me, it doesn't crash... it just goes to fullscreen for literally about 1/4 second and then goes back to windowed again. Changing any of the graphics options does not seem to make any difference towards in regard to the problem. Switching to fullscreen manually works fine though.
In case it's relevant, mine is an ATI Radeon 9250 PCI 256 MB. This problem doesn't occur in v1.10, but I'm sorry to say I don't have that v1.11 WIP you recently released... I only have the one you put up toward the end of November.
