like the joypad arrow keys in the correct possition They are correct already. Time and time again people look at the pictures and think that they are arrows. Time and time again someone has to mention that they are not. In the pad the so called arrows point in the center of the pad. Look and compare. I do think that there is something that could be done to ease the confusion though. Didn't CloudOfSmoke make a nice animated pad image sometime ago this in mind? I wonder if he ever mentioned it to Author. This one? Well, I think I talked to him this same time last year about it an he said that he liked it and wanted to use it IIRC. Whatever happened to that pSX Author? Maybe it's just one of those things that got pushed back until all of his main goals for the emulator are finished. Lol. I can't believe that people still keep thinking they're reversed. That's how you weed out the pirates from the legit PS owners.

Yes, that's the one. Only problem I recall having with that picture is the L 2 and R 2 buttons, which are barely visible even when they flash. But other than that it's an awesome pad picture that would (should, atleast) completely remove any confusion about the digital pad.

Lol. I can't believe that people still keep thinking they're reversed. That's how you weed out the pirates from the legit PS owners. Or at least those who haven't use a PlayStation controller in five years...

I see so down is up, right is left and so on?, Thanks guys!.
The icon for the older version ps was much bigger and can play rip games, where the new smaller one could not, Is that why he liked the old PS image for the icon?.

No, Up is up, right is right, etc, drwhojoe. Did you not look at the posted controller pictures?
I would presume pSX Author uses the 'older version' as an icon because that is a Playstation, while the 'new smaller one' is actually a PSOne.

When I think of PlayStation, I think of the original PlayStation since it was the first version, it was the version that I had, and it was out during the high point of the PlayStation's life. To me, the PSOne was just a novelty item near the end to sell more PlayStation before it's death since it was more compact and really didn't offer any other functionaities or features except its size imo. I will always remember the PlayStation as the original, not the PSOne. That's why the older PlayStation was used for the icon I guess, since it's the most general icon that resembles the PS, and it makes it easily identifiable on a desktop full of icons for people and that's what most people (I suppose) think of when they think of the PlayStation.

pSXAuthor: I would like for you if possible to consider ravamping the GUI, nothing fancy, but just using some stock icons, or following Gnome HIG, an about MenuItem would be nice, a toolbar, not really nothing over exagerated, but just to seem a little bit more polished. I would like to offer my help if you want. My past works include this www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php/gtk-gnutella+mockup?content=34970. Thank you for your time. Ohhh did I say pSX is a great emulator?

I'd just be happy to see an SSE free version, but I'm guessing we're going to have to wait to the next update?
At least I can use 1.10 in the meantime...

Well, pSX Author did say he might release a WIP, paratech. If he doesn't, then, yes, it's v1.10 until he releases a version that fixes it.

I was just stating I'd be happy to a newer version than 1.10, let alone wait for people to make requests for features to be added to 1.13, but it's his emulator and I'm patient...

A while back, i had something similar in mind with the buttons on top. It is a nice concept.

It's nothing fancy, just trying to maximize GTK use , very easy to implement
