I do know what you mean, about the pad.
All the arrows point to the center of the pad as your pitures show, forgive me for explaing things wrong.
I have had no problems so far with music, sound, graphics, pad, saves that is grate and the best emulator so far!!.
Best luck with his next release!.

Hi stranger90, I'm still working on PS2 emulation - I tend to alternate between working on PS1 and PS2... currently one PS2 game is nearly playable but there is still some stuff to work on (mainly speeding it up). Hopefully I will have something to release on the PS2 side later this year. Thanks, pSX Author i am sorry but I have to ask what game is it?

This emulator gets better and better each release. Real nice work. here's some suggestions for the author for feedback...
Frame Skipping option isn't really needed. The emulator runs well enough to not need it and the video timing is really exceptional to not need it. More or less I am assuming you had an automatic throttling system for frame skipping originally and the option is used to force the video to not skip any frames.
The audio options are really unneeded as the same as emulated machine option more or less is perfect. I have a low grade and very crappy Conexant HD Audio chipset and it still gets perfect audio.
A preset CD drive option would be nice to have eventually.
Other than that... I've been playing Breath Of Fire 4 for a few days now and I can easily say this with pride...
pSX plays it better than my PS2 can.

You should really create a separate thread for each request as required. However, you won't really need to.
Frame skipping will not be going anywhere. There are still many people who have lower-end computers that can't run pSX at full speed without frame skipping. It would bring no benefit at all to take it out.
The audio options are not necessarily there to tweak sound to perfection. The latency settings are needed for occasional issues that people come across. Reverb and Interpolate are good for people who want to mess around with it or figure out certain sound issues, as well as for the sake of completeness. Sync sound is a good toggle for the same reason of people wanting to mess around with / figure out things. Frequency is actually good for people with low-end computers who need the extra processing power. More options to take load off the processor is good because it allows people to make more, small tradeoffs instead of a couple big ones, which overall would make for a less pleasurable experience.
A preset CD drive option is over-requested as stated in one of the threads of required reading material, and is something that will be eventually done.

Some of the audio options are necessary even on not-so-low-end machines. In many Linux distributions, for instance, it's necessary to increase the latency values, often quite considerably.
I have to say that, even on low-end machines, I dislike the frame skipping option, as it makes for very jerky gameplay. However, I don't see this as a reason for not including it; pSX Author didn't make the emulator just for me, whitetigerx7, and neither did he make it just for you.
And that's the bottom line: the options are there for the people who need them, and that's the way it should be. One of the strengths of the emulator is the wide range of machines it will work on.

Very true and at current listing this emulator has one of the highest compatibility ratings for PSOne games that surpasses even Virtual Game Station's record.
You have to admit, plugins are a pain and not using them allows for better compatibility with games and quality of performance of the emulator.
I have yet to try the Linux-SDL flavor of the emulator as right now I'm still researching to see if my Sound Card a Conexant Venice HD Audio chipset has any support. I heard the Nvidia MCP Audio driver works with it in ALSA.

I couldn't agree more. The PS2 I USED to have barely played playstation games (random "disc cannot read" errors). pSX plays playstation WAAY better than my PS2! The sound is amazing, too.
