Hmmm... I tested on Vampire Hunter D [SLUS-01138] out on Playstation machine. Yes the Analog mode is lit up. I even tested this on Playstation 2 machine and the Analog mode is still lit up.
pSX on the computer. Running Vampire Hunter D SLUS-01138 the Analog mode isn't lit up at. I already have Dualshock set before run the game. I also tested with Analog+Rumble settings and no Analog mode is lit up as well.
Thanks for having me check another game out to do more testing with Dualshock controller.
Another thing is that Strider [SLUS-01142] doesn't have Analog mode lit up. pSX on computer, Playstation machine and Playstation 2 machine. I did re-tested this.

kinghanco, Sune has already pointed out to you that you should simply leave a Dualshock controller toggle set to analog all the time when it's plugged into a PC, since the PC doesn't see the analog/digital toggle. Since the toggle changes what the PC sees as the settings for the directional controls, if you use the controller with any change in the toggle setting, you're just going to mess up your pSX settings trying to get it to work. _Only_ use the pSX Normal/Dualshock configuration to select whether you're going to play with the controller set as digital or analog.
It really isn't surprising you're having controller problems.
Similarly, just as your PC can't see the toggle setting, nor can it change it. Regardless of what application you run or what game you start up, the controller toggle setting will stay set to whatever you already had it set at.
And on the Playstation, regardless of what game I play, it always starts up with the controller toggle set to the default, digital. You always have to select analog after the Playstation has started - or at least, that's always been my experience, and my understanding of how the toggle works.

We shouldn't have to turn it on when Playstation machine and Playstation 2 machine turn it on when a game support "Analog Control Compatible". I'm talking about pSX on computer and Dualshock is enabled. It doesn't make since pSX can't enabled it when Dualshock is enabled. I think it is not fully supported or coded not correct on pSX. If it doesn't support it then just say it. Give me a big list of things that pSX does not support. Why there is a mute on pSX screen when I hit "enter" button? Does Playstation machine have this?

Well, there's only one answer then, kinghanco - you should develop your own Playstation emulator. You appear to know more about it than pSX Author, so you should be able to.
If you need Dualshock to be enabled when you start a game in pSX, use Ultima's pSX Frontend. Or again, perhaps you should code your own.
Does it not occur to you that everything pSX Author tests for pSX he has to buy himself? That's on top of the software he has to have, and the considerable amount of time it will have taken him to code and then improve the emulator.
Nevertheless, he's limited by the way a PC handles the input from a controller. How many times do I have to say this? Your Dualshock controller, which was never meant to be connected to a PC anyway, has to be connected via an adapter through a USB port, and the input is then handled by DirectX. Of all the items, only the adapter was designed even with the thought of connecting a Playstation controller, and yet you expect it all to work perfectly just like that.
Do you know what emulation is? it's the process of getting something to run on a platform it's not meant to run on. That's hard enough anyway, but when you're dealing with a complex device that has no official documentation, and for which even the available documentation is very much less than complete, it becomes very difficult.
Things pSX does not support
Coffee making Establishing world peace Brain surgery (pity about that) Dog walking Time travel Keeping kinghanco happy
I could go on...
The mute on the pSX screen is because you pressed the keypad Enter key.

I know how hard it is to get something to work or almost to work right.
Yea I know how many times you told me that my computer can't see a Playstation controller hookup because it only see my adapter inputs.
I never said that all the Playstation controllers works perfect on pSX.
I know pSX Author won't be able to get everything to work the way Playstation machine behave.
I will never make my own pSX and pSX2 program. The funny thing is that I don't know to make those. It pretty hard to me and I have no idea where to start off at. I probably get piss off and go into rage for trying. So I not a programmer at all.

Things pSX does not supportCoffee making Yeah, I've been waiting for this for a long time, now. I'm hoping it'll be implemented at some point even before pSX v1.20.

But isn't this one of the most requested features?
