Thanks! I've uploaded my memory card file now... here it is - my card.binTo the good people here who would test it, you can start on the save point named Elysium (that should be around 21 hours play time since I started it) Like I've mentioned before, you may encounter the problem after finishing the final boss off and after watching the cut scene just before the credits roll... I've managed to create an image file of my disc... and still, the same thing happens... I really hope somebody can fix this...

Unless somebody else beats me to it, I'll give my friend a call and see if he can borrow me the game. Considering I'm the one who gave him the game (he really loves Megaman Legends, more than me for sure), he should be up for it. I'll post back here when I get the game to test this problem.

Alright, it'll be a few hours (have to wait for him to get off of work), but he's for sure dropping off the game, so I'll be testing it for sure.

Freeze confirmed from original disc and mounted image. I also tried the -r switch, which didn't help at all. Nor did fast forwarding past it. Tested using the SCPH-1001 BIOS with otherwise default settings.
Using a SCPH-7502 BIOS or the -ci switch didn't help either (it was worth a shot). Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like anything I do helps the problem at all. I'll see if maybe an older version (like v1.4) can do any better with this.
Edit: Yes! It seems that v1.4 works thus far. It got past the white screen, and I'm not watching the credits. Here's hoping that everything else works until the very end... ^^
Yup, it went through all the way to the end. Got to the clear data save and everything (and it actually saves and loads in case you were curious). So at least you know you can use v1.4 to get past this problem. Not sure what other versions work, so maybe at some point me or somebody else can do a more full test to see what version the problem starts at.

Hey, it's not a problem at all. I had access to the game, so it worked out... ^^

not again... This time, its in the easy mode... It also freezes in the same spot, during which I was using v1.4... I'll try the other versions of the emulator, like what you did earlier to see if this bug is absent on other versions... speaking of which, if this is true, then it is possible that every difficulty mode of the game may require a different version of the emulator...

That would be not only quite odd, but very unfortunate. Hopefully a different version will yield positive results for *both* modes. If you could, make sure to test every version for this problem, so that if multiple versions get past this one properly, we can test all those versions to see if normal mode freezes in any of them.

Ok! I'll test all of them to make sure!
And if I have free time to spare and if my skills were up to it, I'll try to finish the game on hard and very hard mode to see if this "freeze bug" would show up again...

I've just finished testing all of the versions... and the news is not good... all of them froze at the very same place in easy mode...
that sucks...

I guess that means the best thing you can do is play the save at the end in ePSXe or some other emulator and then go back to pSX after the final save. Could you possibly file a compatibility report in the Game Compatibility section so the compatibility list can be updated?
