When using the XBOX 360 controller on a PC (wired version) you cannot press L2 and R2 together, you have to use the left and right CTRL keys on the keyboard, not sure why this is, but it makes it impossible to run from fights in Final Fantasy VIII.

Hmm i kinda have the same problem with the Original Xbox controller, and also it won't calibrate the controller correctly and so when i try to configure the buttons they are all replaced with one direction...I have tried the calibration tool in the control panel...Maybe your controller needs a different configuration in the control panel?

This is a limitation in the DirectInput driver for the 360 pad - there is nothing that can be done about it. The L2 and R2 buttons show up as a single axis - both pressed returns the same result as both unpressed...

Hi, if you use the alternate open sourced driver together with a special profile, the two triggers will be on different axes (or by choice even reported as analog buttons). Download the driver and the profile here: xbcd360guide.50webs.comIt worked for me. Philip
