I'm having trouble getting the controller to work - the program sees the controller in the config controller set up and it accepts input for each button / analog etc ... but when in game nothing works. Any suggestions?

What do you have the pad mode set to? Have you tried changing it?

A large number of Playstation games don't include analog controller support, perfectlibra. If you try to play any of these games with a controller set as analog, it won't work. For games like this, you'll have to set your controller as Normal. On a real Playstation, you can switch an analog controller into digital mode with a button, and some other emulators feature cycling between analog and digital by pressing a key (F5 in ePSXe, for instance). In pSX as yet, there's no such equivalent: if you want to play a game without analog support, you have to start it with the controller set as Normal. Check out Ultima's pSX Frontend: this allows to to set the controller mode for each game you set up in it. See the link in his sig and the one in mine. **recommended**

I think if you've got Ultima's Frontend, it's _better_ than a Playstation! Well, the Playstation does have better compatibility, I guess...
