When, exactly, are you ejecting...? Anyway, I might've been too hasty in saying it's your computer, but the fact that it works for a lot of people just goes to show that removing it should not be an alternative to fixing it. Er...When you say? I think when a game crashes or I just fancy changing the game when I'm board of it. Anyway I find just using the drive eject button is easier.
Okay, Let's just forget about it and just get on with requesting or other important things.

A Playstation effectively crashes if you eject (i.e. remove) a game while it's still running. Nor do you replace one game with another in a Playstation and expect it to still run. You have to switch it off and switch it on again.
Surprise! You have to do the same thing with the emulator. How strange...

Don't know about savestates, hunterzero, but memory cards come in several fairly standard formats (pSX uses .bin, .mcr and .mcd), and should be interchangeable between emulators as long as they're in appropriate formats for the emulator you want to use them in. There are various tools for editing memory cards, some of which can also save in different formats - thus enabling you to effectively convert formats. Try Aldo's Memory Card Manager if AdriPSX' memory cards are not in one of the formats that pSX uses.

adripsx mem card are separated in 15 files + a dummy file, I combine all in one file and appear 1 saved state, but the header block was wrong, I fixed it with psxmemtool 1.19b, then I converted it into a pc saved file, and the game recognized him!!
PD: sorry but my english sucks PD2: the game is FFVII pal sces-009.00

Is there away potentially to make dual shock controllers work in early games that were designed for the original pad only?
That would be lovely, god knows how hard that maybe? I'm thinking in terms of how other console emulators have allowed this. Obviously, I understand that currently pSXemu adopts the authenticity route with perhipals....

That really wouldn't be possible. It's a matter of telling the game whether it's receiving a digital or analog signal from the controller. Older games only accept the digital signal. Dualshock controllers have to output an analog signal.
The closest remotely possible thing that could be done in accordance with your request would be for the emulator to change the type of signal that it tells the game it is sending, based on what game it is. At best, that would involve the emulator testing the game by trying to send it an analog signal and seeing if the game responds to it. Also, reading from a database listing which games accept and don't accept analog signals would be remotely possible, but that also would involve entirely too much work.
Final verdict: your request cannot and will not be done. It is simply way too much trouble to no significant benefit. The best we can hope for is an option to switch controller modes on the fly, which has been heavily requested and hoped for (and acknowledged by pSX Author, I should mention).

Hi all;
Thanks for this great emulator i like it. Well... let's go:
- maybe an option to hide the log window. - option to start game in fullscreen mode. - possibility to use plugins for advanced users, at least for GPU plugins.
PD: I hope that i can play parasite eve 2 in the next release.. ;D PD2: My games that starts with menus like ntsc/pal selectors dont works. (i was try the gamepad option).
Have luck with the emulator and sorry for my english..

Read the first post, and read the FAQ. For every single one of those requests, there's a clear answer already.

In the discussion thread, can you be more specific with the problems you're having? Thanks

That really wouldn't be possible. It's a matter of telling the game whether it's receiving a digital or analog signal from the controller. Older games only accept the digital signal. Dualshock controllers have to output an analog signal. Or you can imitate actual PlayStation behavior. On a real PlayStation, the system boots with the controller in digital mode, and the game switches the controller to analog mode when it takes over if it supports analog control. Of course, that requires on-the-fly switching to be implemented first, as that's basically emulating the controller's mode switch feature. Or starting in digital mode and waiting for the game to send the mode select signal.

I remember on some DualShock PlayStation games, like Final Fantasy VIII after/during the plain text copyright, would Auto Enable DualShock Mode on the controllers. Would it be possible to have pSX do this? I believe this and a "Analog Mode" Button would be the best.
