Ok so the compatibility list says "minor sound issues" but I'd like more information.
RE Director's Cut Dual Shock (US) keeps playing the audio of the intro FMV in the menu screen. The game itself runs fine up until now.
RE2 Dual Shock Leon Disk (US) runs perfectly except for a few sound hiccups here and there.
The Claire disk however freezes on the intro and starts playing audio from in-game cutscenes, there's nothing you can do but reset and play something else.
RE3 (US) works the best, I haven't seen nor heard anything off so far but I will post more details when/if I finish all 3 games.
specs: Intel Core Duo 2.40GHz, 2GB RAM, Intel 82945G GPU OS - Windows XP SP3 pSX v1.13 with SCPH1001 BIOS

Well so far I've played through
Resident Evil 1 (NTSC-U) With no problems from beginning to end. The ORIGINAL, not directors cut.
Resident Evil 3 (NTSC-U) No problems from beginning to end.
I'm about to try out RE2 Dual Shock edition and see what happens.

Just tried Resident Evil 2 Dual Shock (Claire Disc AND Leon Disc) and it works perfectly, was able to watch all the intro movies with no bugs and play all the way to the police station with no issues! However when I played using the NORMAL version Resident Evil 2 NTSC U and access a type writer I can't seem to save. In Dual Shock I can.

That or you didn't rip them correctly!
It's a shame the ORIGINAL version of RE2 doesn't let you save... Ah well, Dual Shock edition is exactly the same but with the arranged mode as well as the extreme battle mode I guess!

Just completed Resident Evil 2, the only glitch I've come across is on the end credits both themes play at the same time, the regular theme from Scenario 1 and the rock guitar theme from scenario 2. They both play at the same time through the credits. Other than that the game is flawless. So this emulator is pretty much your #1 choice for playing all the Resi games without any hassle unlike EPSXE which has glitch after glitch.

actually, I recently re-ripped both my own discs and my cousin's, and while it's true that RE2 and RE3 and pretty much glitchless, RE Director's Cut Dual Shock NTSC-U still acts up in the way I described in the OP.
I'd just like to confirm what the "minor sound glitches" are in it, though at this point I'm pretty sure that it is pSX and not our discs or ISOs that behave funny.

Yeah Resident Evil Directors cut has a few issues. I own the ORIGINAL Resident Evil 1, not the directors cut, and it works flawlessly. On a side note, Resident Evil 2 Dual Shock is the best version to use in pSX emulator. The original has a few little issues such as only being able to save on memory card 2 (going to slot 1 makes the game crash), among small little glitches. Dual Shock on the other hand was great

I hate to drag this on but it's not like the forum's very active anyway.
Could someone PLEASE shed some light regarding what the "minor sound issues" are in Resident Evil Director's Cut Dual Shock Ver. NTSC-U?
I want to confirm if I have a bad rip, if my cousin's and my discs are too old and scratched, or if it's pSX doing it.
