But you cannot make your own codes with that, because the search button is disabled.

If its just 1 thing that you are wanting to change and it has a value to it meaning 1 or more and you can force it to change values in the game you are playing...You could always use a program simular to Gamewiz32 or anything like it. I use this when I feel I need more money or items that stack in games. Just know that in some games cheat does take some of the fun out of it.

I have seen a PEC program like this which works as a plugin for ePSXe and any other PSX Emulatiors which require plugins
I'd like to ask this question, How does this work with pSX without the need to mess around with plugins and etc?
Also, can this be uploaded to FileFront or MegaUpload Please?
Many Thanks..

It modifies pSX's memory, just like GameShark or any other cheating device does. Any reason you want to upload it to FileFront or MegaUpload?

How does this work with pSX without the need to mess around with plugins and etc? Well, PEC is basically a plugin, which is why it won't work with pSX.

I just have been having problems with Rapidshare at the moment!Well, PEC is basically a plug-in, which is why it won't work with pSX. Well yes it is just a plug-in but the original person who started this thread modified pSX to work with the plug-in. I don't know how he did it but, from looking at past posts on this thread I can tell that the modification has worked.
If I read something wrong let me know as soon as possible!

It wasn't pSX that th3c0r3 (the one who started this thread) made modifications to, but rather added a set of values to the file that CEP accesses to work properly with pSX. If PEC is indeed a plugin, then it'll never work with pSX, though there isn't even a need to say much about PEC in that case. CEP is... a support-style program, in that it runs alongside pSX, and so the only modifications that were needed (from what I can tell) was to add a category for pSX with correct memory location values and such.
And indeed, it does work well... provided you understand what kinds of codes work (which is more complex than you would first guess).

PEC and CEP are not the same program PEC is a plugin CEP is a memory editing App for PSX emulators similar to Artmoney for win32 applications its just that CEP will do the memory locations automaticaly based on the Gameshark codes

I guess that's the blunt way to put it, although I liked my roundabout way better of saying it better (makes people think, ya know?).

If your curious to how this app work's. The original author basically coded an app to read Gameshark codes and decode them.. i.e the first 2 bytes of the code explains what type of cheat it is.
I.E Is it constantly writing the value (Freezing) or Is it only poking or reading (Joker Commands)
The app uses a base address (How psX allocates memory) and uses that base address to calculate where in memory the cheats should edit.
I was going to code a app/plugin for pSX to do it, but I read somewhere that the author didn't want it done or something, I forget. If people are interested I'll work on the app.

You can code anything you like for pSX, khuong - at least three members have written frontends for it - but you won't have much luck with plugins. The emulator doesn't use them...
