Well, this is actually a list of Playstation models, not BIOSs, Don Meu/meude, although the BIOSs were usually named after the models, I think. And, as a list of BIOSs, this omits SCPH1001(.bin) - certainly the best known and most widely used in emulation (don't know about in Japan...)

Yeah, the list is not complete. I saw a much better one somewhere not too long ago, but damned if I remember the link anymore.

Indeed, the BIOS are named after the models. Even if there is no change to the BIOS in a new model, its BIOS still bears the model's name. I searched for a complete list when I was designing the frontend, but I never found one I felt was "complete", so I took everything I could find and came up with 18 BIOS entries for my frontend, which later became the list for Ultima's frontend, which I can only assume means either he couldn't find a list either, or he didn't feel like doing all that searching when it really wasn't needed anyway (the more likely of the two).
I generally prefer to use only three different BIOS files when playing US games: SCPH1001, SCPH101, and DTLH3000.
There is apparently a BIOS called BIOS41A, but it was apparently confirmed to actually be SCPH7502. DTLH3000 has few details to find, except that it's an updated version of SCPH1000, although DTLH3000 is for US and SCPH1000 is for Japan. It'd make sense considering DTLH3002 is the PAL version of DTLH3000. That said, SCPH1001 and DTLH3000 might very well be the same exact BIOS. I'm really not sure how to test all this out though, or where to get any more information on these BIOS files.

Interestingly, I hunted out a few BIOSs recently, and found that, of the PAL BIOSs, SPCH7502 (the only PAL one I'd had up to that point) seems to be the one that works least well, although it would seem to be the most widely available/used/recommended. DTLH3002 is the one I've started using now.
Hm. FWIW, just dug out my Playstation and it's SPCH-5552.

Yeah I basically stole Gamesoul Master's list, but even still, it was the biggest list I could find, so that's why I decided to use it in the first place.

Of course it was the biggest list. Do you think I'd miss any larger list and not simply incorporate it into mine?! XD My frontend wouldn't have been worth much if I would've had to keep adding BIOS names from people telling me they have ones that aren't on the list. Figured I'd save myself some trouble and just make it ridiculously big from the start... Aww... you know I was just messing around Ultima! Just glad to be of use.

Can anyone tell me which BIOS it is that has the interactive graphics mode (press select) when listening to audio? Is this supported in pSX?

Do you mean some kind of graphics display when you're listening to a CD, getnuts? AFAIK there isn't anything like that. Plenty of media players will do it, though.

Sorta off-topic, but I'm wondering how muede's postcount got reset... O.o And supposedly (according to the forum search facility) he has no posts, though there's clearly at least one up there -.-

If that model has visualization, then the BIOS from that model would is what supports it...

Funny when you've just disabled the karma system, and TheCloud suggested doing the same for the post count... Edit: Hey, that's a point. Me and GM talk about who's going to break the kilopost barrier first, but it's actually going to be you, isn't it? Are you going to become God Administrator or something then? ;D
