Ok im using the sixaxis controller and everything works great exept for the analogue sticks (yes i installed the driver and i can calibrate it and it shows that the analoge sticks work in windows and in some other emulators) when i configure the settings on psx 1.11 i have to set the left analague stick as the directional pad for me to use the analauge stick to control the game (i mapped the stick as the directional pad), the game im trying to play is gran turismo 2 and i go to settings and it says that anloge control dosnt work (i think it sys that analoge controller not plugged in or sumthing like that) but i can use the directional pad (or remmaped analoge stick as the directional pad)
is any one else getting this problem??

A little punctuation might have been helpful, kevkid; it's not at all clear what you're trying to say. More information would be helpful, too. You've told us you have a 'sixaxis controller,' you're trying to use it in pSX emulator with Gran Turismo 2 and I would guess you're using Windows, although I don't know which version. We can't help you if you don't help us.
If I understand you, you've set up the analog stick as the digital directional pad; then when you go into the game settings (?) it says you don't have an analog controller. That seems pretty obvious to me; the game is now seeing your analog stick as a digital direction pad and not as an analog stick. If you want it to see your analog stick, you have to configure the controller correctly: i.e. with the directional pad as a directional pad and the analog stick as an analog stick.
It also depends on whether you have the controller Type set as Normal or Dualshock: if it's set as Normal, the game will see it as a digital controller, as this is the setting for games that don't support analog controllers. You need to set the Type as Dualshock for it to work as an analog controller.

yea Im using xp pro sp2 like what im trying to say is that if i map the controller to what its supposed to be like if it asks in the configurator for left diagonal button i press the left diagonal and if it asks for the x button i press the x button (to configure the controller) i do this to all the buttons (i map the correct buttons for the controller configurator) and i go in to gran turismo 2 and it says analogue not supported (or sumthing like this) so since it says this i map the directional buttons to the analoge stick so i can actually use the analoge stick. and yes it works this way. but i want to have analoge control so that the game actually says that im using an analoge controller (but even if you cant help me its ok cuz the problem isnt major) and i did try putting it to normal, analoge+rumble, and dual shock and its the same result
but anyways thanks tho

Umm... is there an option on the controller to turn analog on/off (like on the PS1/PS2 Dualshock controllers)? Is the controller hooked up to the computer with a straight USB cord or something? Does the Windows Control Panel properly read the analog input as X/Y axis movement and not HAT switches (D-Pad)? Have you tried testing any other analog-accepted games to see if they'll work with it? How about... setting it to Dualshock and then restarting the emulator, or switching from Dualshock to Normal to Dualshock again (which solves control problems in a couple games, notably Valkyrie Profile). Do the analog sticks work properly in other *emulators*?

windows reads everything perfectly, including the analoge, but there is no button to select analoge and digital, and yes its a direct connection (a straight usb cord) i even use the same controller on my n64 emulator and it treats the analoge stick as an analoge stick

Does your Gran Turismo 2 game actually support analog sticks, kevkid - it'll say on the case if it does, and not all games do. Just what message are you getting when
and where does the message come from?
Have you tried the controller with any other games in pSX?

Ok, try this. Set up your controller again, i.e select Port 1, select the correct name for your pad in Device, select Dualshock in Type and reconfigure all the controls, with the analog sticks correctly configured, not as a directional pad. A screenshot of your Controller configuration tab might help (press Alt+PrintScreen, open a graphics application and paste into a new image).
Click Apply, then Ok. Now start a new game: don't load a memory card save or save state. Do you get the use of your analog controller now? If not, close the emulator, open it again, go back to the controller tab, and check your settings are still the same.
Might help, too, if you posted a link to the manufacturer's page for your controller.
