Delete one of those posts, and read what I wrote in the Legend of Legaia thread you just posted in. Please try to refrain from posting the same request in more than one place, and avoid double-posting whenever possible.

Hi. I hate for my first post to be a request. It's so tacky. I'm in a pickle with the Legend of Legaia cutscene as well, though. I've not a PAL playstation to dump from or a means to convert the save file; so if you wouldn't mind to either get my saved game through the cutscene or convert the memory card file itself to PAL (I'm assuming you can do both from what I've read), I'd be most appreciative. here's the link: www.teamfxppics.homestead.com/files/card_2.binthanks again!

I have converted your memory card file to PAL format and posted the link in the Legend of Legaia thread for patrickp to see. I own the NTSC-U version of the game as well, so getting you past the scene will be up to him, since he owns the PAL version of the game.

As I said in the other thread, I greatly appreciate it. Hopefully a situation will arise that will allow me to repay the favor.

You can repay the favour by becoming a contributive member of the forum, westicles!

Noted. I'm not exactly sure what you mean by contributing (stripping is TOTALLY out of the question. HA!), but if I see that I have the means of helping the forum in any way, I'll be happy to do so.
Thanks again!

First post modified to clarify that converting from PSP/PS3 to PC is possible, but converting *to* those formats is still impossible, due to them both having a checksum at the beginning (seemingly similar checksums too). Also revised the post overall to be a bit clearer and descriptive.

I'm really sorry. There is no possible way for me to convert *to* .psv format at this point. I've been working hard just trying to convert to .vmp format (for PSP) with no results, and the PS3 uses a similar checksum system which looks possibly even harder to crack. Seeing as how the PS3 and PSP use similar setups in general (and can even connect and transfer saves to/from), cracking one will probably open up the possibility of cracking the other. But at this point, there is no such luck. The only thing I can *possibly* try is to somehow get the save onto the PSP (possibly via CWCheat, though I don't know if I can load a save through that and save it via the PSP itself to get a proper save), then transfer it from the PSP to the PS3 via USB (that'd be the easy part). So you know, if I can somehow even get that to work (lucky for you, I have Legend of Dragoon on my PSP, so it won't be much trouble to try this), it'll be a .psv file for each slot, since it's a single-slot save format. Edit: Well, will wonders never cease. I didn't fully test this, but it's a straight-up transfer from PC to PSP to PS3, so it *should* work (in the course of putting it in PSP format, I saw that they *did* work at that point). So without further ado... my first PC to PS3 memory card conversion. Of course it was a rather cheap victory, since I own the game (which may very well not be the case for other people who may ask in the future), but I'll take it, cheap or not... ^^ Whether it works or not, I'd greatly appreciate it if you come back to let me/us know if it works properly. And keep in mind that when you transfer these from USB to PS3, you'll have to create a virtual memory card on the PS3 first and transfer each save to it individually (there are 5 in the file).

I'd refrain from double-posting, but I have some pretty good news for this thread that might be worth the attention-catching properties that a double-post bestows upon itself.
As of right now, I am officially able to convert any saves to PSP (.vmp) or PS3 (.psv) formatted saves. So as far as I know, there is currently no format that I cannot convert from/to. This is great news for anybody out there who was needing this kind of conversion and couldn't get it done before.
