I'm trying to use SCPH-1150 but it's not working when I try to use it, do I need to download it or something, and if so from where?

The game may not support DualShock and Anolog/Rumble controller modes.

Does Normal mode work, dm? Does it say whether it supports analog controllers or rumble/vibration on the game case?

I know that normal does work, and I know that analog is needed because with Breath of Fire 3 you can rotate the camera on the field.

Can you verify on the CD case or game manual that it supports Anolog/DualShock, if not I bet one of the L# and R# buttons would be able to rotate the field.

Well, here's a description of the controls from a walkthrough
There's no mention of the analog sticks, only the directional pad, and camera angles are controlled with the R1 button and directional pad.
Looks like it doesn't support analog controllers.

Might be a problem with your drivers; keep trying (and make sure you've calibrated the controller in its driver settings). I've seen the same problem with my controller as well, and I simply kept trying to configure the axes until they were correct.

... as i can only input one key for the -up+down- part of a stick and the -left+right+ parts, arent they meant to move in two directions?... Are you trying to use a keyboard as controller, coltraven? The keys are, unfortunately, digital in action. The idea of an analog control is that it's not an on-off device, but it gives a varying level of signal (or provides a varying resistance) according to how far over it's moved. A keyboard key, of course, is just an on-off device and can't duplicate what an analog stick does. That's also why you can't use the directional pad on an analog controller as another analog control; each direction is just an on-off switch. If you are using an keyboard, you can only use it with the 'SCPH-1010: Normal pad' Type setting. Also, if you are are using an analog controller, don't use the 'SCPH-1150: Analog+rumble' setting. Use the 'SCPH-1200: Dualshock' setting, regardless of whether you have an actual DualShock controller or not. Most people find the 'Analog+rumble' setting doesn't work. And thirdly, if you do get an analog controller working, don't forget that it will only work in analog mode with a game that supports analog controllers. If the game doesn't support analog controllers, you have to use the 'Normal' setting. Just like every other Playstation emulator, and the Playstation itself.

Seeing that the problem has been resolved, I will ask another related question: Is there any key to 'quick switch' the controller mode? Something like the F5 key in ePSXe which would switch between digital and analog mode?

No, there isn't, tornavis. This is something that's been discussed on a number of occasions. Although a lot of people want something like an analog/digital toggle key, pSX Author doesn't seem inclined to implement it - so that's the bottom line. No toggle key.
