Well, I ran a .ISO file... So I don't know why that popped up, and just in case you need to know what game it is...
Ar Tonelico US I think

.iso is not the best format to use with pSX, for just this reason, bladester50. Try playing your game from the original CD, or re-rip it to a more suitable format; .bin/.cue will do for most unprotected games, but the best formats are CloneCD's .ccd/.img/.sub and Alcohol's .mdf/.mds. See the HOW TO: Make Disc Images thread for information on ripping. I can't find any game called " Ar Tonelico US" in the PSX Master List. What's the game ID - in fact, what name is on the case/CD label?

Yes, Ar Tonelico is actually one of my *favorite* PS2 games. PCSX2 will certainly not run it well... the game lags even on the PS2! Though I'm certain that's from bad coding, the very indication of bad coding would certainly mean that PCSX2 would have a tough time running it, if it can even do so at all.
