Oh my. It's great to see that psx emulation scene is still alive and kicking. Keep up the good work!!! The only thing that I really miss are others CD image formats support and screen resize to any resolution. All the rest, I don't realy care much. I just want a good emulation speed and compatibility (as if it was that easy ), and sound and my PS2 and XBox360 gamepad to work. I mean, I don't care about plugins that make 9874928626 hardware acceleration or even miracles. I just care about a good emulation. Great work!

CPU usage is higher than in v1.3 (which was between 20-80%) Now it's Constant 100% and tiny lag occur every now and then cause of that. [glow=red,2,300]See my specs in sig...[/glow] VSync causes alot lag so disabled it/them from the start. Dualshock fully compatible ;D , Rumble and L3, R3 work. (Using logitech rumblepad 2 USB) Doesn't Work (doesn't detect, maybe? / no buttons work)at bios menu! And in some old games that don't use Dualshock like BOF3And sound emulation seems bit better or am i just hallucinating, like im hearing more sounds than before... Maybe im mad. lol Currently have tested only with Chrono Cross USA ver. Qucksave... But anyway... Great release as always. keep it up.

Thanks for the excellent update, this emulator just keeps getting better. only one small problem though i noticed that it still takes awhile for the music to start on the fight sequences of legend of dragoon, i know its not my copy of the game as the music starts straight away in a certain other emulator who's name i won't mention, not a biggie just thought I'd mention it, thanks mate.

Top notch !! Tore out some of the old dusty games and so far, haven't found one that didn't work yet. Even some of my obscure Japanese one's work great so far. Just one question? Will there be an IN SYSTEM Gameshark / Pro Action Replay code input capability in the future?

There are no plugins... As for cheating, I'm not sure if Windows memory editors can edit the emulator's memory correctly for cheating, but if they can, then that's another way, but as of now, there is no way to cheat. pSX Author is already considering it (did you bother reading the last two posts in this thread?).

My dual shock using the SmartJoy Dual PLUS Adapter is not working with this release. As soon as I click on the field to start changing my buttons, they all immediately default to Axis 5 -ve.
Does anyone know what's going on?

Um...its good that you can load images directly into emu, but why in the world is .cue file required Whats the point of it, if there are no CD-Tracks or anything ? CD-Emus can load images without .cue files just fine. Just a minor gripe.

Great job! All of my games have worked so far. Better than espxe. Thanks for your hard work! ;D
Also, I don't use cue files at all. But when I convert my nrg's and the such to BIN to play with this emulator, the cue files are automatically generated. Just delete them. What's the gripe about? They are only a few k. You can just load the bin file into psx1.4.

" Just delete them. What's the gripe about? They are only a few k. You can just load the bin file into psx1.4."
No you cant just delete them. If i TRY to load the image without the .cue file the emu says "cue file not found", and do nothing. Not loading game, no anything. So i load the images in Daemon Tools, which doesnt bitch about the cue absense.

Um...its good that you can load images directly into emu, but why in the world is .cue file required I believe the situation is this: While probably not necessary for every game, some games probably do require the cue file to determine where on the cd the music files are located. It's easier to just make the cue required for all games.

"some games probably do require the cue file to determine where on the cd the music files are located."
Veeeery few and far between. I dont own any such game, and never even heard of PSX game with CD Audio. Only the bonus track on SOTN, but it is not IN the game anyway. Still, some games are some games, not all of them. So the ABSOLUTE requirement of a cue puzzles me. I'd even say astonish. In our day and age...
