After a long absence I've finally gotten around to releasing v1.12 Changes in this release : - Fixed crash on startup with -f command line option
- Fixed SPU bug that caused FF8 FMV audio to stop sometimes
- Fixed bug that prevented some keys being mapped to controllers
- Fixed bug where window size/position was reset when using fast forward
- Added support for Alcohol 120% MDF/MDS images
- Fake subcode in track gaps (required for TombRaider1)
- Fixed Syphon Filter boot hang
- Fixed infinite loop in Tekken3 and Deception3
- Changed 384 mode to 364 which seems to be correct (based on TombRaider)
- Fixed aspect ratio correction for 5:4
psxemulator.gazaxian.combtw: I have now switched to Visual Studio 2k5, I am unsure of whether or not the current .exe will work in Windows 98/ME. If someone would like to try that it would be much appreciated. Thanks, pSX Author

Hi stranger90, I'm still working on PS2 emulation - I tend to alternate between working on PS1 and PS2... currently one PS2 game is nearly playable but there is still some stuff to work on (mainly speeding it up). Hopefully I will have something to release on the PS2 side later this year. Thanks, pSX Author

Yay! \o/ 'Grats on the new release /me goes to turn vsync on again to test the window resize fix... (edit: and it's good! Wee!) Um, did pSX ever work in Windows 95 in the first place? It *does* require DX9, which Win95 doesn't support, right...?

Ah. No need to apologize For anyone who responds "no, it doesn't work on Windows 98ME," do make sure you've tried installing the Visual C++ 2005 runtime components (though I personally doubt it'll be necessary, since I haven't installed it on XP). /me goes to play some FF7 now

/me pSXAuthor moans, then eats Sune's brains You _really_ don't want to do that, pSX Author - think of what you could catch (like kuru...)! Anyway, great to see a new version - many thanks. ;D Edit: will give the new version a go in W98, but not till later... Edit 2: hey, far out! The -f switch works in Linux now! Ultima - you know what you must do now! (makes holy salute of the tongue)

Edit 2: hey, far out! The -f switch works in Linux now! Ultima - you know what you must do now! (makes holy salute of the tongue) Oh yeah - I forgot to mention that in the readme. Another thing I forgot to mention is that I reduced the amount of memory pSX uses in Windows by about 15-20mb! (there was a once-only leak during startup which I had never noticed before).

This new version is awesom. I no longer see the second bios logo jump anymore. What was the Tomb Raider fix suppose to do anyway? I haven't noticed any difference (still goes black screen when I start a new game and no audio plays on the original disc).

I haven't noticed any difference (still goes black screen when I start a new game and no audio plays on the original disc). This means you have a bad rip. Tomb Raider (at least 1) is very sensitive to having the audio tracks in exactly the right place on the CD (including track gaps). It works fine from an original (in fact I'm playing it now - only three levels to go until the end now). When ripped incorrectly it will not work even on a real PS1. Try the original, or "obtain" a different image
