I think you got the best out of the rest (hey that rhymes!) But try some others. I don't know many any other RPGs as I only got FF IX on my PC.....

Lets see:
-Valkyrie Profile (hard to learn, but THE best RPG ever made); -Breath of Fire 3 (C'mon, a MUST play!!); -Persona 1 and 2 (great games with inovative battle systems); -SaGa Frontier 1 (snes graphics, but great gameplay and LOOOOTS of replauy value); -Parasite Eve 1 (looks like Resident Evil, plays like Vagrant Story. GREAT FMVs).

If you've played Chrono Cross, siegfriedm, you _have_ to play Chrono Trigger. Apart from being as good as Chrono Cross (little wars do occasionally break out here over which is better... ), it clarifies a lot of the story of Chrono Cross - best of all is to play Chrono Trigger first, then Chrono Cross. The original is on Super Nintendo and is more fun to play, as there are no delays between scenes and going into menus, but the Playstation version has some good added FMVs. There's also a game called Radical Dreamers, which is more an illustrated text game, is intermediate between the two and sheds even more light on the Chrono Cross story. It's for the Super Nintendo, and you'll probably have to play it as an image on an emulator, as I think it was only issued AIR as a download for Japanese machines - hence I don't propose discussing getting it further. Apart from that, I've had great fun from the two Wild Arms games, Legend of Legaia and Final Fantasy VII. Another favourite, and one of the older Playstations games, is Alundra, although the sequel, Alundra 2, IMHO just isn't worth it.

I second the motion for Alundra, Wild Arms (atleast the first one, haven't played the second one yet), Breath of Fire 3 and Parasite Eve. I could also add Breath of Fire 4, Parasite Eve 2 and even Alundra 2 to the list. PE2 and Alundra 2 were slight disappointments, but they will suffice if you don't have anything better to sink your teeth in.

When I first got Wild Arms 2 I wasn't expecting too much, Mika - reviews for it were very poor. But it turned out to be an excellent game - well worth trying.

Don't forget the Arc the Lad collection, as well as Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete... they should be near the top of the list... Haven't really gotten into Lunar 2 yet, but that seemed pretty fun too. I'd also like to emphasize Legend of Legaia, as that was one of the older games I played on the Playstation, and I really enjoyed it. And let's not forget... Vagrant Story. It can be a little slow for some people, but I found it to be thoroughly enjoyable, every time I played through it... Tactics Ogre... another great one, as it plays more like FFT than Ogre Battle, with a very interesting storyline. Oh my... and who can forget the Tales games. They should most definitely not be overlooked.
