Well, besides the fact that it's not related to this thread... I don't know how you're having problems. From what I recall, PS1 Gamesharks work fine on PS2. But just for the sake of trying to figure it out... what kind of Gameshark are you talking about? There are a few different versions for PS1. And... you are talking about running original Gamesharks on an actual PS2, right? (BWA HA HA... my 1000th post... "I have arrived...") Your talking about MadCatz GameShark right? Dam I wish I gotting their after Interact sold company to MadCatz, I'm using the old cd's version from Interact. GameShark CDX v3.3 (1999) and GameShark v3.5 (2000).

I finally got a hold of the last GameShark that made from Interact. It is a version 5. Too bad that I can't burn it on a cd. There noway pSX 1.10 and PS1 will read it after burn onto a cd. But pSX 1.10 can read the iso though. It very odd. I download it from emule. Lucky that I found it. I can't find it on the internet to buy or download it. I can add some codes and save it on my computer. It very cool. img339.imageshack.us/img339/9704/gsv5mh5.png

Ugh... I have a CDX sitting around *somewhere*. I haven't searched yet to see if anybody's tested it on a PS2 yet, but... if I ever find the thing, I'll be sure to test it in my PS2 and on pSX.

Gamesoul Master you saying that GameShark will work on the little ps2 models?
I know it will not work on the old big models. In fact the one that I have was the 1st release on the old bigger models. It have some problems playing some of my movies. Like if someone shoot laser guns. The screen flip over and roll back to normal. Something like that. I had to buy a dvd player because my ps2 will not play some of my movies perfect. Maybe I have an buggy prototype??? I got from GameStop.

You know... you *can* update your PS2 drivers and such to correct those playback issues.

He means you can dump the BIOS out of a newer PS2 and upload the BIOS into an older model.
This option sadly however was only offered to users of the PSX (PS2 w/ a DVR) console in Japan. Few were actually sold though you can still import them. It basically uses the same updating system was the PS3 and PSP.
The original and slimline PS2s however required a seperate disk to reflash the BIOS. Sony has never released it.
Originally Sony had planned to have a PS2 Online system setup which would allow users to have a small yet functional web browser, utilize the HDD, download updates to the PS2, and support online games similar to what Live! does for XBox and Xbox360. The plan fell through though when GameSpy who was going to sponsor it, backed out.

I think it would be better get the newer ps2 instead of messing getting a BIO updated on the one that I have. I would hate to lose my ps2.

It's going to be a very long while before the games are actually playable, if that's what you're hoping for.

Ultima is right because pSX need more documents and infos for ps2. He can't just work on it right away.
Another thing is I think that pSX doesn't want put any hacking drivers on his pSX. I don't blame him for that.

If anyone want to see how San Andreas runs in my PC with PCSX2 here's a link for a screenshot! Unplayable for the major grapich issues but the speed isn't bad! img404.imageshack.us/my.php?image=gtapcsx2nh9.jpgNOTE: in the PS2 (slim) I've give "Error to Read Disc" during the first loading, not here... why?
