Okay, so: "Netplay Way over-requested. pSX Author said that he will add it eventually, but it is not very high on his list of priorities. He also stated that it is not something that he can just implement in just a short period of time and his time is better spent on other things in the emulator at the moment." and "Cheat device function Over-requested. Way too much. We know everybody wants this, and it's quite possible that pSX Author will implement it sometime, so don't count it out. In the meantime, check out the Gameshark Alternative thread here to hold you over." By that wording, you make it sound like Cheat device function is more important than netplay! Just about every other PSX emulator has the cheat function in one way or another, but none of them have a good netplay. By "good" netplay, I mean one that you can play a 2P RPG (like Tales of Destiny 2) on. Kaillera just desynchronizes without notice; and it it doesn't recognize memory cards on anyone besides the host, meaning it will cut off the clients. I've been looking at this emulator and just... Wow. Playing all off PSX games on this from now on, but if anyone can incorporate netplay, it's the author! Why isn't this a priority? It's the BEST feature about emulators! ;x Absolutely no reason PSX shouldn't have netplay in the way that ZSNES does. Oh well though, just ranting I guess.

Well... wording it like that, I didn't mean to imply that cheat support had higher priority. What I was more getting at is that cheat support is in higher demand. Because yes, netplay has quite a bit of demand. But... cheat support has even more, from what I've seen over the last half year.
To be honest, I'd really like to see both. I love playing people online, and I also love enhancing my game with cheats. Not to make the game easier, but more fun. Like... creating a custom character in Final Fantasy Tactics. Not a god-character... just a unique character to add some flavor without making things easier. But yeah... I think I'll start a poll to see which one has more demand. Just to satisfy the curiousity I now have... XD

Yay ;D I've been dying to play games like Tales of Destiny 2 online for SO long now ;D And now I'm extremely curious on the err ... theory that Star Ocean 2 can be played 2 player. O.o;

I don't think I'd be making much use of netplay, but I too would like to see netplay included. One thing worth noting is that if they both get implemented, something should be done about the intermixing of netplay and cheats...

Why only Tales of Eternia/Destiny 2? Tales of Destiny can be played 2-player. Heck, ToD can be played 4-player if you have a multitap and 3 channeling rings.

Just because, at this very moment, ToE is the one game I wanna beat with a partner. But uh... CAN You multi-tap an emulator? O.o; And if you can, it's gonna be rather difficult getting 3-4 people together to play >.>;

multitap support is already in epsxe and it works with my 4 player psx adapter for PC.
Sadly, epsxe as we all know its slow and most games have 1 major problem or another as i found out
Never goin back to messin with that emulator EVER.

I use my Datel Action Replay on pSX and it works very well. I see no reason to get a in-program cheat function.

LOL... well of course *you* wouldn't, cuz you *have* a cheat device you can use. But some people simply can't get one. And yes, I know this'll incur the "go on eBay" reply, but there are people who simply can't do that (no means) and don't have anybody who *can* do that for them. Besides, built-in cheat function is a free and legal solution to trying to buy a cheat device. All *I* want, is that PS2 Gameshark/Action Replay (can't remember which one it is), that comes with the PS1 disc also. Cuz that'd be really cool, considering I have an ARMAX, and while I know how to convert codes from any device to ARMAX format, that doesn't always work, and it's a pain either way. Not to mention Datel is the only place you can get ARMAX codes, and they're quite crappy about releasing good codes for game (if any at all). Plus that obviously doesn't help my need for a PS1 cheat device. All in all, I'd *really* want that one that comes with the disc for both systems (the one I just mentioned above).
I notice that people replied to cerb3rus's statement about multiple players for Tales of Eternia, but nobody said a word about Star Ocean 2. And now *I'm* curious... did I miss some kind of joke?

Star Ocean 2 has a vocal minority in the fanbase that SWEARS the game has multiplayer. They are insane, but refuse to let that get in the way. In reality, SO2 is totally lacking in multiplayer support. Not even "secret" support like Tales of Destiny had. I'm pretty sure it was a joke. I HOPE it was, anyways.

Just want to show some support and say that I love the pSX and greatly look forward to a future netplay feature, if it's still a possibility. pSX seems to be the only emulator that plays Tales of Phantasia without a hitch, and I was really looking forward to playing that game along with a friend of mine. Playing the other Tales games over the net was a nightmare on other emulators, but so far pSX has proven to be a step forward from those I've tried in the past in very many aspects. I greatly look forward to it's continued progress.
