I'd like to put this one down as a request for the convenience factor. I'd like to see support in pSX for the eboot.pbp wrapped, often compressed, encrypted format that the popsloader system on PSP supports.
The sourcecode for the Popstation eboot creation tool is easily available and would make it likely pretty easy, though you'd need popstation-formatted images as the keys.bin file is necessary to decrypt the image and you don't exactly get that easily with purchased images. On the other hand, there might be a keys.bin up in the flash space, so it might just require custom firmware on the PSP side.
In any case, I'm not going to harp on the issue-- I'd just like to put this one request on the table this one time and see what happens.
pSX with native support for you to hook up your PSP to your PC via USB (or put the memory stick in your PC if you have a memory card reader), then load your existing games and saves seamlessly would be a pretty sweet deal. It's more convenience than anything else, but it would certainly be pretty cool.
