I'm not sure if you already know this, but just as a FYI, the nice little buttons are actually links to the newest posts since your last visit for each thread.

Indeed, I didn't know at the very beginning either, but just mousing around, I noticed my cursor change to a hand, so...

The next update should be tonight or tomorrow.
Along with this update, I'm going to finally do something I've been wanting to get around to doing for awhile now, and that's splitting the main compatibility list into regional lists (NTSC-U, NTSC-J, PAL). This gives me more files, but makes each more manageable in the long run.
I'll start with the Outdated list, providing both the current and the regional with this update, and let feedback come in on that, and go from there.

I don't mind a bunch of games in a single post. The only problem I've had is when there is, say, Games 1, 2, and 3 in a post, and then somebody goes back and edits the post to include Game 4, even if it's at the end of the post. If they do this after I've picked up info (and you really have no way of knowing when I do that), it makes it more difficult for me to find out the new stuff. Well, so far, nobody's said the lists by region for the outdated list are a bad thing. Nor have they said they're a good thing. For the next update, I'm going to go ahead and plan to switch over the current list to the same setup.

I've tested WipeOut XL with 1.11, and according to the "official" list the game should be unplayable. But both music, shaking and the rest of the game works for me.
From .bin/.cue that is.

skoen, see the first post in this thread:
You should post a report in a new thread, giving the information required in Things to Remember when Posting Reports prominently linked at the top of this and every other page in this forum. It's always good to see a report of a game working that wasn't working before, but the report's no good without the required information, particularly game ID and BIOS used - also, how far you've played into it, whether you've done any saves, and whether there are any issues, even though it works.
It's also always a good idea to try it from the original CD(s), as you never really know how accurate a copy of the CD an image is.

And I'm wondering why you haven't read _any_ of the forum documentation (linked at the top of this and every other page in the forum) or searched the forum on the games you're interested in, ouch!

Went ahead and posted updates to the lists, since it really needed to be done.

Guys, got a suggestion for you. There's one somewhat critical entry missing on the compatibility form-- which BIOS you're using.
For that matter, it'd be nice if pSX had a menu entry "create compatibility form entry" that would fill all this out-- not out of laziness, but because people get it wrong so easily.

There used to be a BIOS column, but both smegforbrain and I deemed it unnecessary long long ago. If no BIOS is listed in the notes, then it's assumed to be SCPH1001 (or that it doesn't matter). That is the BIOS that most people were reporting in. If there is a problem, we often ask what BIOS people are using for clarification anyway.
As for pSX creating a compatibility list output... Well, I think it's unnecessary, since there is already a form just for generating a pre-formatted compatibility list when you create a new thread in the Game Compatibility forum.
