Hello,
By default it uses .bin - it doesn't really matter though!
(I chose .bin because it is literally a straight binary image of a real memory card).
Memory card image from other emulators should work as long as they are straight binary images (I think I was able to use a file from VGS in the past, but it was a long time ago!).

By the way in case nobody has tried it, I took my epsxe memcards and renamed the extension to bin and they work! So I renamed epsxe000.mcr to memcard1.bin and it read it! So everyone can relax and not worry about losing your data you worked so hard for if you want to just use this emu. Nice work! This emu is fantastic!

You can just leave the epsxe memory cards even as there original file extention.

Yeah - any file extension should work - .bin is just the "recommended" one. You can use .mcr for cards created with this emu if you want to keep things the same between emus.
