splitfocus: It still would've been better to create a new thread, specifically for the problem you're having, than to revive a thread over a year old. Anyway... when you say you are unable to save, is this a problem you're experiencing from the very beginning of the game? If not, have you been using savestates prior to this? And what exactly happens when you try to save? Have you made sure to create a memory card file (and verified that it exists in the memcards folder or wherever you decided to put it). Have you tried saving on other games to ensure that it's the game and not your setup? And by the way, playing from the actual CD instead of an image file usually wouldn't affect anything like this, so I can almost guarantee it's not that.

Ok, I just wanna understand: why is it better to create a new thread, taking extra space on the server, that yo revive an old, but existing thread? I know each forum has a way of thinking (some of them HATE when we create a new thread, when there's already one), thats the only reason I'm asking. ANYWHO, Split, even when you are using the CD, you can still know the game ID. Just explore the CD and look for it.

Because, put simply, there's no connection between the previous issue and the new. There's a disconnect based on the time elapsed-- drivers have changed, the emulator may or may not have changed in that time, and so forth.
Posting on an existing thread simply clogs the new issue with all the baggage attached to the old thread on the matter, much of which may not be relevant anymore.

I could understand if the problem was the same and unsolved (in which case, it could be considered a continuation of the original problem stated in the thread), but since it's over a year later and this is a completely different problem from the one(s) stated, it should've gotten its own thread.
The rest of my reasoning is as firehawke already said.
I'm not mad or anything of course... just that if it gets taken too far, it begins to get ridiculous after a while (in general).
