Well, it hasn't been said specifically, but that fits under general improvements in emulation.

I think the biggest "feature" would be GPL'd sourcecode so you can gain new developers and I can get my greedy paws on a linux version Theres nothing sweeter than seeing a project you started just take off as others pick up and run with it . *Crowd chants: * Linux Linux Linux. hehe

I'm sorry I am not very good at spelling and punction! I believe that this emulator and the future ps2 emulator will be a great one! Keep up the great work psx author and the rest of the team! Everyone sorry if I made any trouble or problems I am not perfect! Well, personally, I'm not too down with criticising people's English on online forums, frog, since you just wind up missing a lot of useful information, humour, etc. if you get too hung up on it. But it's worth considering: if you're looking for support, you need to state clearly what your problem is, and using the best English you can does help. But to get back to your CD-ROM playing enquiry: pSX Emulator uses two methods to read CD-ROMS: IOCTL and ASPI. IOCTL is only available in Windows NT-based operating systems: XP and 2000 Pro, for instance. However, it's normally only available in accounts with administrator privileges. If you're running in an account without administrator privileges (which is a sensible precaution, after all) you can get round this by downloading and running Nero Burnrights (in an administrator account), from www.nero.com/. This will enable you to allow other accounts access to IOCTL. If you're using Windows 9.x/ME, you'll need to use ASPI (you can use it in NT-based OSs as well, if IOCTL simply is not available). However, Windows' ASPI implementation is extremely poor; it won't support this emu properly. The best way to install a good ASPI layer is to use ForceASPI (google for it). This has two advantages, to my mind, over Adaptec's ASPI drivers: it uses an older ASPI version, 4.61, which many people prefer, and it installs the full ASPI implementation; Adaptec's installers only give you a limited version. Then, of course, you need to select your preferred method in File -> Congiguration -> CDROM in pSX Emu (don't forget to click the Apply button while you're still on the CDROM tab; some settings seem to get lost if you don't do that before changing tabs), put your CD-ROM in, select File -> Insert CD Drive, select the drive (IIRC; I usually prefer to use images) and go for it! Does that solve your CD playing problem?

My only wishes (probably already mentioned in this thread) are:
1. Ability to use SmartJoy adapters and genuine Sony gamepads (seems to be an issue configuring) 2. Improved compatibility to allow disc images of games such as Tekken 3 and Wipeout 3 to work.
Otherwise, I couldn't ask for more.

Great emu BTW.

We need re-recording support for this emulator.
Also, frame advance is necessary.
Oh, and I dont know if the emu already has this, but we need Record AVI option.
Please Mr Developer! The Tool Assist community need this. <3

Record AVI would be kinda cool.. but it isn't needed. Only thing I want is some more compatability and bugfixes. But when versions are upgraded, that's a standard. So it doesn't need to be said. </waste of space>

One thing that would make PSX more cab friendly would be the option to exit with the escape key. I have a home built cab that hooks to my projection TV but I have to use a wrapper to exit.
Thanks Todd

The one game I'd really like to see sorted in pSX is Wild Arms - characters don't show in battle scenes. It's the one game that never worked properly for me in ePSXe (random lockups) through several versions and systems.

I'd like if there were some way to automatically load up the last used CD drive (or image), just like when you leave a CD in the Playstation. That, or at least let it default (I think the drive where pSX is located is the default when you select a CD drive to play from).
And a throttle function would be really nice. Rapidly pressing a key or a series of keys would be much easier (especially when using a keyboard) if the game were slowed down.
EDIT: I would love a turbo button function.

I think the additions I would like are a memory hacking function (like a gameshark) and the ability to setup buttons for turbo. Macro buttons might be cool too for fighting games and such. I love this emulator and am anxiously waiting for the next release. Is there a paypal address where I could send a donation to speed the develpment of the next release? Thanks for the great program.

My wishlist so far: 1) 1x/2x/etc. window size options and maybe a "keep aspect ratio" option so I can resize the window without messing it up.
That's it.
