I can't get it to do anything! The readme doesn't give me enough information.

LMAO the readme tells you exactly how to use it. What more do you want? Visual aid?

Let's assume the path to your pSX folder is "C:\emus\pSX", and you're trying to compress Gran Turismo (GT.cue), which is located at "C:\emus\pSX\cdimages".
Open a command line prompt and type:
C:\emus\pSX\utils\cdztool C:\emus\pSX\cdimages\GT.cue C:\emus\pSX\cdimages\GT.cdz (everything in the same line, please)
Of course, there are high probabilities that your pSX folder isn't located at the same place as the example above, so remember this operation is case sensitive. Also, the whole path must be in DOS 8:3 format.

Just because you understand the intructions doesn't mean everyone does. ...How am I supposed to open a command line prompt in Windows XP? EDIT: Nevermind. I never knew Windows XP has a Command Prompt tool.

Everytime I try to create the cdz image I get a message saying something about the computer running out of virtual memory and then a microsoft error window pops up.
My laptop is running under 256mbs of ram is that the problem. Has there been anybody running under 256 and got this to work?

virtual memory is the swap file... how much free space on your hard drive??? usually you get that kind of error when you are running out of space...(not enough to use in Virtual memory/HD swap AND create the image)

Right now I have 32gbs out of 40. Each time I try to create a cdz image I get the running out of virtual memory dialog. Don't know whats up with that, but I will be getting more ram later next week, so hopefully that will also help with this.

YOu can increase the size of your swap file quite easily. Goto "My Computer" then right click in the white space somewhere and select propeties. Then go to the "Advanced" tab and then settings button under "Performance". then the "Advanced" tab and select "Change" for Virtual Memory. Mine is set to use a minimum of 500 and a maximum of 1500, but you could prolly just say minimum 200 and maximum 1500 so it uses less space usually. If it really is a virtual memory problem that should fix it.

Got a different error message saying,"cdztool has encountered a problem and needs to close." Could it be where I have my psx folder? I have it on my documents on my games, and on the command prompt i have it setup as C:\Documents and Settings\PC User\My Documents\My Games\PSX\pSX_1_0\v1.0\utils\cdztool C:\Documents and Settings\PC User\My Documents\My Games\PSX\pSX_1_0\v1.0\cdimages\Resident Evil 2.cue C:\Documents and Settings\PC User\My Documents\My Games\PSX\pSX_1_0\v1.0\cdimages\Resident Evil 2.cdz What would be the best setup for this? Should I bring it back directly to the desktop again, or should I rename anything?
