Game Title: Ridge Racer [NTSC-U] Game ID(s): SCUS_943.00 pSX Version(s): 1.13
# BIOS version SCPH-1001 # Windows 2000 SP4 # CloneCD Format (.ccd/.img/.sub) with additional cuesheet # pSX settings - default
Description: Music Tracks 7-End get massively garbled during the game/menus. The game itself and the first music tracks seem to work pretty fine tho. Mounting the Image via Daemon Tools (CDDA Audio Option enabled) and playing those tracks via Winamp gave me exactly the same result (random high pitched noises, rather than actual music/speech), Can anyone confirm this is a problem with the emulator (which I don't assume actually) or "just" a bad rip. Sadly the existing compatibility lists didn't help me at all and the other emulators worth being mentioned don't play CDDA at all in the game.
Image has been obtained from the Internet, as my CD is severly scratched :/

Regardless of whether you own the game, downloading Playstation games is illegal and not supported on this forum, shockwav3. See the
Even if downloading games were not illegal, we still wouldn't support them: most games posted online are not good rips, and any problems with the game are likely to be down the quality of the rip as much as anything else. This is a case in point: the game is in the Compatibility Lists as playing fine in version 1.11 of the emulator.
A quick look on ebay suggests the game is not hard to find and goes pretty cheaply. That or Amazon is your best bet.
Please do not post about illegally downloaded games again.
