i think we can apply the Star Trek rule to the Final Fantasy series:
odd numbered ones suck, even numbered ones rule!
no, wait! i'm quite partial to all of them! picking a favorite would be like picking a favorite child. on the other hand, picking a favorite star trek movie is like picking a favorite bowel movement.

i think we can apply the Star Trek rule to the Final Fantasy series: odd numbered ones suck, even numbered ones rule! I disagree about the Star Trek movies, specially considering that The Search for Spock is one of the best movies on the series.

Oh I remember that movie. Spock somehow reborn and then grown back to himself again.

Thats right.
SPOILER
His body was abandoned on the Genesis planet, and was affected by the Genesis wave. So it was reborn, but since the Genesis planet was aging very fast, Spock's body suffered the same effect. His soul (katra) was in Dr. McCoy's since before Spock's death.
Its a nice movie, one of the best ones IMHO. Of course isn't as good as Wraith of Khan tho.

Oh you geeks. I'M NOT A GEEK! Just because I know how how many times Dr. McCoy and Spock had some kind of argument on the entire series doesn't mean I'm a geek!! ¬¬

Final Fantasy Tactics was the best. I can't wait for the remake on PSP.

Meh... Considering I don't own (nor even intend to own) a PSP, I'm not really looking forward to something like that. Final Fantasy VI Advance has been making me happy since its release... it's better than I expected. The only thing I'd complain about is the retranslation, considering they saw fit to "tone it down" for younger people. Does anybody else find that ridiculous, considering the original translation was already quite toned down enough for anybody young enough who'd actually be playing the game?
Star Trek... I *really* liked II, III, and IV. Generations was also quite good, and First Contact wasn't bad at all. Insurrection and Nemesis is where I start to draw a line, though I felt obligated to see them just because. I know some people consider IV to be a bit cheesy and lame, but concepts like time travel really fascinate me, and it's always fun to see your favorite TV characters from the future end up in our time and try to deal with it.
Anybody ever read the books that followed the episode, All Our Yesterdays ("Yesterday's Son" and "Time for Yesterday")? I really enjoyed those books... ^^
