It's pSX Emulator's second birthday today - amazing how far it's come in only two years! Happy Birthday, pSX!

Two years certainly has passed by in a flash. It feels like only a year has passed since I started participating here Happy Birthday to pSX indeed

Yes, I was looking through that original thread, Ultima, and there are posts from yourself and EmuLover there.

I almost feel ashamed that I didn't find these forums until July 2006... ;D. Since joining here, this place has been such a home to me on the internet. There isn't a time that I go on the internet (regardless of wherever I may be) that I don't check here before doing anything. So... Happy Birthday, pSX! I can imagine that even another 2 years from now, we'll all still be here, redirecting 9 out of 10 questions to the clearly displayed, stickied threads, and taking down the 1000th LoD/Xenogears/FF threads that we all know and love... Oh, and of course, we'll still be enjoying the requests for graphics filters, netplay, and cheat support. But honestly, those requests do keep things alive around here. I'd imagine that some of us enjoy coming across those threads first, just to have first shot at saying something to them. I'll actually be a little sad when/if pSX ends up supporting cheats, because I won't get to answer so many questions people end up with while trying to use CEP.

2 years . Well, I haven't used psx for quite a while now... Maybe I should change that and replay something *g (the question would be... which game :/ ) p.s.: just for Gamesoul Master: What about Netplay and better graphics? "epsxe" (or what is it called again ) can do this sooo much better

Right: 1 nanosecond ban and a 0% warning level for you, kiru - that'll learn you! Also, read all the forum documentation, including the Thoughts of Chairman patrickp, and learn it all by heart - there will be a test! [mutter]Young jackanapes![/mutter]

I've been here since August 06. But damn the time certainly does fly.

OMG... I *LOVE* your avatar Mika! I also love James T. Kirk... kiru: Well, you can just go love your ePSuXe someplace else! Besides, didn't you know? All us regulars here have pSX v1.13+, which has additional graphics filters, netplay, cheat support, and fully configurable hotkeys ;D

Mine's version 1.5.2++ and it has a penguin, too, ever since pSX Author secretly released the source. And I can configure Ultima's Frontend to cook the eggs!

Mine is at 1.6.1 and has on-the-fly toggleable analog/digital pad mode and 1:1 pixel-aspect video output. It looks like shit but I get to say my version has it.
;D

I wonder what version pSX Author personally uses? Probably has the best plugins imaginable...

Heh, it's been that long? Congrats on pSX's birthday and many thanks to pSX Author (I can never say that enough) for changing PS emulation for me forever! If it wasn't for pSX, I would probably have never really messed with PS emulation since all of the other emulators deterred me away from it since they were so confusing and complex for me when I first tried it. BTW: pSX 2.0 is awesome! Sux to be you guys. Since this is my first post in a while, I had a question though because I don't know when the next time I'll post again (though I check here daily). Is it possible for the pSX to be ported to the GP2X (Linux based handheld open to developers). It would be awesome to run my PS games anywhere I go on my newly received GP2X-F200.

Bottom line, I guess, The Cloud, is that does the GP2X satisfy the minimum requirements? After all, if it's running a Linux OS, it should be possible to run a Linux application on it... Anyway, nice to see you here again - our memories were getting a little cloudy - last time you posted was a couple of months ago! Seriously, though, you might be able to run pSX 1.3 on a GP2X, but pSX 2.0? You know that takes a monster of a machine - that's why I'm not running it! It's all that Playstation 3 emulation, is my guess...

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gp2xHmm. I just looked at the specs, and I don't think it will run. It would be damn cool to hopefully be able to get pSX on there one day. There is one PS emulator on the GP2X, but it runs slow with all games that I've tried so far.
