I expect a move to the Chat forums. Anyways, you need to be a bit more specific as to what files are split. RARs, videos, something else.

I sense he is talking about a downloaded ISO, but there's a chance that I may be wrong right?

Indeed. playingpsx has already been warned for requesting games on the forum.
Well, playingpsx - explain, please?
Thread moved to Chat section in the anticipation this is not about games - patrickp

Nevermind, I was downloading a video through limewire and it came split, i dunno why.
this is the only technical forum i know, so i asked here
it isnt about ISO's, but i guess if you find ISO's bad then downloading movies might be too

It depends whether the video's in the public domain. If it's a movie, it's probably copyright and hence probably illegal to download; if it's a film someone's made themselves and posted, for instance, it's either public domain or the owner's given implicit permission for its use by posting it. It's not uncommon to split very large files when compressing them for posting, but it depends what format they're in etc as to what you do about it. The best compression/decompression application for Windows is probably WinRAR; if this won't deal with your split file, it's probably in an unusual (for Windows, anyway) format.

Yeah, they usually come in extensions of "rar, r00, r01, etc" or "001, 002, etc"... The first one can easily be handled by right-clicking and extracting from the .rar file. In the case of the second one, you have to manually open the first file (.001) through WinRAR and extract that way.
Just a little bit of info in case you didn't get it (or somebody later comes along and asks).
