Hi, I'm liking the pSX emulator a lot, but I only have 1 significant problem that's keeping me from enjoying Xenogears. I can't "create" the memory card, I suppose. I did the whole config > memory > type in a short name and click okay thing, but then when I go back to Xenogears, it shows the icons for saving, but it says it failed. Any help would be really, great.  |

Yeah I saw that before... It didn't help, I think. I turned on pSX, did the config memory card thing and named it "s1" then clicked okay, then went to the PSX memory card screen, and didn't get anything. I'm not sure i that's how you load with a memory card.
I tried to just have the memory card in the frontend only but the frontend couldn't detect the "s1" memory card either.

What is the size of the memory card after you format it in the PlayStation memory card manager?

The size of the .mcr file that comes out is 128KB, type is a PSEmu.
Is there anything close to a step by step way of doing this by any chance?

Okay... So I download pSX 1.4 to play Valkyrie Profile, and I was able to save the games and create a memory card with it. But when I went back to pSX w/ Xenogears, it recognized the memory card because I saw the VP icons, it gave me the same response I've been getting all along.
Is it just Xenogears or pSX 1.13? I would have tried Xenogears with 1.4, but I guess 1.4 can't detect my Xenogears files.

I guess that's what's going to happen. I only have like, 4 physical games , and for some reason those won't play on any of the emulators I've tried.

A couple of suggestions: - have you checked the compatibility list for the four legitimate games you have? If they are supposed to run okay with pSX, that would tell you there's something wrong with your installation of the software. - I think it's been acknowledged in many previous threads that some games do have issues with saving to Memory Cards, especially slot 1. If it's possible with this game, try creating a different file for Memory Card 2, and save there instead. |
