On the startup of the emu, I get an error message saying "failing to initialize D3D" what does it means and what can I do???

i have the same problem ("failed to initialise the d3d device"), but i already have updated the DirectX9.0c from the Microsoft site, put the 'd3dx9_26.dll' in the emulator directory. And i dont know what's going on. Someone help us, please.

Someone help us, please. download the d3dx9-26.dll like you did and double click on it to instal it. you dnot' just put it in the emulator directory that won't do anything. Click on the file and it will instal it and that's all there is to it

You could try downloading the full directx developer package, it comes with all the files you need but it is rather large 300mb
If that doesn't work then your graphics drivers arn't installed properly or at all
And if you download the file and extract it to the same directory as psx emulator then it should work
As long as you have drivers installed for your video card and the d3dx9_26.dll in the psx emulator directory it will work, if not then there is something else wrong with your pc
If you still can't get it to work then unistall your display adapter and reinstall drivers

Maybe changing the desktop color to 16 bit makes the difference. Maybe...
