I've noticed that some people have issues using their gamepads with pSX. Someone had this problem over at ngemu and the thing that I suggested worked for him, so I'll put the info here for people who are having similar problems. Just download jtk379en.zip and configure your gamepad buttons to the keyboard keys that are used for the buttons. For example: if you want button #3 on your gamepad to act as the X button, configure it to Z (which is the default keyboard key for the X button in pSX) in JoytoKey. You can also set combinations as well like Shift+F1 to your gamepad. You can also use your gamepad buttons for options that are not configurable in the standard Controller Config (like save states). It should work as long as your computer recognises your gamepad in the first place. Now you wont worry if your gamepad doesn't work with pSX. Here's a link to a page that has the program: forum.lik-sang.com/showthread.php?t=10688Hope this works for anyone who is having probs with their gamepad.

There is one problem with this: Many Playstation games use anolog.
For something like a SNES emulator your suggestion would solve the problem, but not for a ps1 emulator. A better solution is just to use ePSXe.
