Heyo people, I personally find pSX to be the single best emulator available for the console, I just have a small concern with controls.
I can't play one of my fav games! The game is Elemental Gearbolt, and the game itself runs flawlessly as far as I've played, runs much better than on ePSXe which has ps1 mouse support.
I mean technically you CAN play with a controller... but the game is hard as balls and those precious seconds it takes you to settle your aim(I know there's a official term but I forget) can really be devastating.
I already used the forum search for 'mouse' 'lightgun' and 'guncon', and no-one has mentioned emulation of it so I hope this request will help.

Technically, the game does support it. Go to the controller settings and look at the drop-down list for controller type. Also (and I know this isn't necessarily your fault, because you'd almost have to be a regular here to really know), the reason your search didn't pull up any results is because you didn't set the days high enough. 180 days is not enough to pull up the discussions about it (and it's long-time implementation in pSX). In case you want to read up on the main discussion, you can read the main discussion thread here. Lucky for you, your game is one of the games that can use GunCon lightguns (supported by pSX) and Justifier lightguns (not supported by pSX).

Heh never noticed the option before. Thanks though, now I can actually play it, but I still want to say I'd appreciate mouse support, since when using the ps1 mouse you get a really cool reticule: Also, if not it'd atleast be good to be able to reconfigure the lightgun buttons, because at the moment clicking the mouse wheel is weapon change while right click is pause, which is really awkward >_> Anyway even if it doesn't happen thanks a lot ^_^

Sorry for the double post. I've been doing some tests with the guncon controls on and I came across quite a few problems.
If you have guncon controls saved instead of selecting it after starting the game then the white reticule won't show up. If you have it saved and go fullscreen when you bring your cursor to the edge of the screen your reticule will be replaced with the stretch screen cursor.
When in fullscreen in general your aim is off, you'll shoot about an inch higher than your cursor/reticule, I've tried using aspect correction and it doesn't help.
When in fullscreen if you click while the cursor is at the edge of the screen it'll try to resize the screen...
Just thought I'd point these out, because fullscreen is pretty much f'd for me right now.
