So i have 2 game controllers for my PC. The first player works just fine. However, the second player doesnt work. The emulator just takes the input from player one and uses that for both player 1 and 2 meaning players 2's input is not being detected or something. How do i fix this problem so that both player 1 and 2 have different inputs and are both able to play using the controllers?

Seems you might be configuring the controllers incorrectly or the Controllers are conflicting with each other. I'll assume incorrect configuration as this would be a problem on the side of pSX and not the Operating System and Hardware. First check if both controllers are detected in pSX, this will be the Device Drop-down Menu in the Controllers Tab of pSX's Configuration Window. (See Blue Area in Figure) If you see both, then we shall continue to configure the controllers. If you do not see the controllers, be sure that both are properly connected the PC and installed in the Operating System (usually not needed to be checked). If you have corrected a problem, restart pSX. Now to configure the controllers. For Player One controls, select the "1" radio button by "Port" (See Red Area in Figure) and then Select the Device(/Controller) (See Blue Area in Figure) for the player. Then select the controller type (See Green Area in Figure) to at least SCPH-1010: Normal Pad or more capable (depends on game's support). Now set the controls to your controller, remember PSX uses a specific D-Pad shape for direction. Now repeat the previous step for Port "2" for the Player Two controls. Figure 1 Please reply back if you have issues still.

I'm using two logitech dual action controllers. They're exactly the same two controllers and well my computer detects there are two but PSX only detects one. I can configure one controller but not the other because its not even detected. So as as a result player 2's input is the same as player 1's meaning one control is controlling both players.

I have successfully configured two logitech dual action controllers. When you have connected both controllers fire up pSX and browse to Configuration>Controllers Select Port 1, select the first controller from the Device drop-down list, select type and configure Select Port 2, select the second controller from the Device drop-down list, select type and configure Good luck.

Thanks! Yeah the problem was that i would connect the second controller after starting up psx so i guess it wasnt detecting it. Having em both plugged in first then starting it up worked! Thanks alot!
