I noticed the aspect ratio setting doesn't seem to work when i set it to 4:3. When i do this and play pSX through my 4:3 TV there's still borders at the top and bottom and everything is squished slightly - whereas using a real console with the same game there's no borders at all. Changing the resolution doesn't seem to affect this at all either.
It's not my tv or video card that's the problem because all other emulators (even for other systems) display 4:3 perfectly.
Is there a way to correctly force 4:3 ratio in pSX so it's full screen like a real system?

You video card needs to not correct for over-scan. either set video mode on or adjust over-scan correction to 0%.

Thanks for the reply, unfortunately my video card has no such options. The only thing i can do is run it through my tv and increase the tv stretch/size options on the video card. But once I've stretched it enough to get rid of the top/bottom borders it cuts the sides off so certain pointers/text in Final Fantasy IX (which i'm trying to play) are missing if they happen to be on the far left or right of the screen. At the risk of sounding ungrateful it'd be great if there was a software option to fix this like in any other emulator for any other system i can think of. So far it's the only down side to psxfin i can see, everything else is pretty much spot on perfect. I'd use Epsxe (yuk ) but Final Fantasy IX crashes it regularly.
