Whenever I try to open a .cue file or a .bin file in pSX v1.3 it gives me this error: CD not usable: Failed to read .cue file
But I can play the same games on ePSXe perfectly.
To be precise I can't play Cool Boarders 4 (PAL) , Bushido Blade 2 and Contender - Victory Boxing.
These games have these files:
Cool Boarders 4.ccd Cool Boarders 4.cue Cool Boarders 4.ccp Cool Boarders 4.img Cool Boarders 4.sub
Contender - Victory Boxing.bin
Bushido Blade 2.bin
For Cool Boarders, when I open the .cue file in pSX it gives me the error.
For Contender - Victory Boxing, when I try to open the .bin file it gives me the error.
For Bushido Blade 2, when i try to open the .bin file it gives me the error.
However, I can play Tekken 3 - NTSC - U , perfectly with pSX. Tekken 3 has these two files Playstation Tekken 3 NTSC USA.bin Playstation Tekken 3 NTSC USA.cue
and this cue file loads perfectly.

Open the .cue file with notepad and make sure the information inside matches the name and location of the .bin file.

The cue and the bin/img file are in the same folder and the filename in the cue file matches that of the bin/img file Still getting the same error

well you could just mount the games with daemon tools and play the game like its a CD. it mounts the image onto a virtual CD drive and its free. you can get it here www.daemon-tools.cc/hope that helps.

Whenever I try to open a .cue file or a .bin file in pSX v1.3 it gives me this error: CD not usable: Failed to read .cue file But I can play the same games on ePSXe perfectly. These games have these files: Cool Boarders 4.ccd Cool Boarders 4.cue Cool Boarders 4.ccp Cool Boarders 4.img Cool Boarders 4.sub pSX does not support ccd format. However, if you rename the .img file to .bin it will probably work. Contender - Victory Boxing.bin Bushido Blade 2.bin .bin files _require_ a .cue file - there is information in the .cue file that cannot be recovered using just the .bin file - for this reason pSX does not support .bin files without a .cue (I don't want to encourage the silly practice of deleting .cue files). You may be able to get them working by creating a fake .cue file: FILE "..name of .bin file" BINARY TRACK 01 MODE2/2352 INDEX 01 00:00:00
This may not work if the .bin file is not mode2/2352, or if the image contains audio tracks. This information would have been contained in the original .cue files. However, I can play Tekken 3 - NTSC - U , perfectly with pSX. Tekken 3 has these two files Playstation Tekken 3 NTSC USA.bin Playstation Tekken 3 NTSC USA.cue and this cue file loads perfectly. This works because you have a correct .cue file.

Awesome! the other two games Bushido Blade 2 and Contender - Victory Boxing run great now. What I did was, I made the cue files as you said and it works great. The sound is great and works much better than ePSXe.
However Cool Boarders - 4 (PAL) still does not work. I renamed the img file to bin as you said and changed the cue file accordingly, now when I open it using pSX , I get this error:
b0rken Unhandled exception. Save a crash dump?
Then pSX errors out and closes.

What does the .cue file contain?

FILE "Cool Boarders 4.BIN" BINARY TRACK 1 MODE2/2352 INDEX 1 00:00:00
It was originally Cool Boarders 4.img, I changed it to BIN after renaming the img file.

Hmm - looks correct... can you save the dump file and email it to me please?

The thing is, it loads the cue file.....then loads the bios....then gives this "unhandled exception" error just before when it is about to start the game
The dump is 75 MB

When it asks to save the dump say "No" when it asks if you want to save a full dump, it will then save a smaller one.

You can burn .img .ccd files with MagicISO easy.
Use Mode 2 to burn it.

Sorry for the delay pSX Author, but I have e-mailed you the error dump.
Also, Tekken 3 hangs when playing any replay after a fight. Then I have to close the emulator and restart it. Why does this happen?, it doesn't in ePSXe.
Thanks.

The Tekken 3 hang is a known bug...
