My system's an Athlon64, Windows XP-SP2, 768 RAM, Geforce 6600, Realtek Audio - using CDZ images.
This happens most obvliously in Castlevania: SOTN (US version) to me - first instance of it was when defeating Dracula in the intro stage, when he says "No, this cannot be" the action simply stopped for awhile (~20 seconds) - the animations continued, I could still walk around.. but the game wouldn't progress until 20 seconds later when the voice was played. Later, in the first Alucard stage, the background music didn't begin when it should've (This did work properly if I mounted the BIN image with Daemon Tools, however - the other problems still occurred). Finally, when you get to Death in the first stage, it again did the 20 second stall when his speech was to begin.
I've noticed these delays in other games, but SOTN is where they're most prominent. I created these rips a good while back off my originals, and they work fine in other emulators (and real hardware for that matter, I burnt the SOTN image and tried it in my chipped PSone). Anything I can do to fix these delays? Thanks!

This is a known issue with Castlevania: SotN that is also occurring in previous versions of pSX.
