I have a setloc error on disk 2 of FF9, and I'm wondering if I can somehow convert my game card file to be read by another emu so I can continue past this glitch and then resume the game using pSX.
Any help appreciated.

In almost all cases, yes. pSX saves the memcard in RAW format, much like most other psx emulators. The most that one needs to do is change the extention to the format that the other emulators use.
the only exceptions that I can think of are the commecial ones that are discontinued (bleem! and VGS).

well, epsxe won't read it. any suggestions? i'm just going to try a bunch of them but if anyone knows for sure of an emu that will read a pSX game card, it would be appreciated.

ePSXe does read pSX memcards, try adjusting the the File Type dropdown in the Memory Card Selection window.

file types supported are either .mcr .mem .mcd or .gme or "all file types" I tried just setting it to card1 (the pSX file), no game data. renamed it to card1.mcr and still no game data. Argh, I just want to continue my game

Nevermind. I put it in the /memcard/ directory under epsxe and it worked.
Thanks! Hope I can fix this glitch.

I know if you rename the card to .mc, itworks for .mc compatable emulators and managers. Check in pSX and see if that card is valid? Wee Note: I'm not at my home pc so I can't show a pic of that it works. But trust me, I does work. EDITMade A Pic of my Memory Setup with ePSXe and pSX. ^ PhotoBucket.com ^
