Hey you guys ! I'm a french teenager and I love your emulator ( I think it's the best ever made and I don't understand why a lot of people use ePSXe... ). I'd like to know if you will set the support for more pads, because at the moment pSX doesn't see my third one.
Please answer me ! Bye.

Nope, though multitap emulation has been requested before.

OK, but is it hard to implement ? I think it is an important function !

Not sure, as I'm not exactly familiar with how pSX is coded, or how the multitap device interacts with the PlayStation (Does the PlayStation game have to know of its presence? Or does the PlayStation game just detect when there are multiple controllers connected?)

I'm pretty sure that the game simply detects more controllers. I thought I recalled getting that impression when I used a multitap a few years ago. And... It would be too much trouble for game programmers to make it detect the multitap itself when it would be much simpler to just make it detect a third and fourth controller (since many games are set to detect a second controller... a third and fourth is just more of the same).

Heh that's exactly what my impression of it was as well, but I didn't know for sure, so I couldn't give a definite answer

I don't ask to implement a live detection system, just a support for 2 more pads . It would be very nice for Crash Team Racing, ...

I know that. But I was saying that I personally am not 100% sure how exactly one would go about doing so, which is specifically my answer to your question "is it hard to implement?"

When it comes down to it, zorro56, there's only one person who can
If he doesn't answer (and he does have other things to do), all the rest of us can do is discuss it.

Maybe those who are interested in multitap emulation could compile a list of games that support it.
That would make it easier for the author to implement it one day.

Especially if it's known that there is a demand for multitap, and that there is a specified list of games that people would use it with.

I thought he was Brazilian (Brasilian? ), not Arrrghhentinian! No offense intended, Sune! I just couldn't resist! ;D Edit: hm, I was just wondering if Zorro was an Argentinian character, but no... But wait! The original word zorro means... the Argentine Grey Fox...! Did zorro56 get to you, then, Sune? Is that what you were trying to tell us?
