daimaoYou could use a method such as finding all the folders that a PSP has, and just putting the save in the SAVE folder of the PSP and just stick it in as a memory card or what not, it should be able to recognize the folder, since it is practically the PSP itself! Very simple and easy process. If I can find my memory stick adapter, I'll definitely upload a file with all the folders. @gamesoul Master Much thanks and it's very much appreciated. And, yeah man, spend time with your friends, I'm in the process of it too, haha. X-Mas shopping, you know.

Hey guys.. again. x.x So I did have it the way you told me to do it. On the ps3 it would show up as a corrupted file. It still doesn't show up on the psp. What I don't get is how it qould recognize the file and convert it. Is there something you press or go to, to where it shows up and goes "converting.. ding.. ok done"? Thanks for your help though, I really appreciate it. Especially during this festive season. So.. don't worry about any of this until you care lol.. Being with family and friends is more important than my silly game save problem.

wuerzburg: I see what you mean. But after I do this and pop my usb flash in my PS3, where should I go to locate my fake "PSP" and its saves? And after that, what should I do to convert it to a PS3 (PSV) format?
P.S.: Merry Xmas to y'all!!!

Merry Christmas, everyone! PSP--->GAMESAVES---> put the file in there, hopefully it'll work. After that, you stick it in the PS3 and use the Game Data or Save Data, and see if you can find it. Hopefully it should work.. If not, I'm going to use my friend's PSPgo and convert the saves.

Sadly it didnt work... it still wouldnt show anything at all. It seems the PS3 wont reconigze my USB drive as a PSP... If its not too much trouble to ask, could you try to convert those files to PSV for me? If not ill figure something out. Thanks anyway for the help so far, mate.

If you unzip the contents themselves to the root of your flash drive (so the "PSP" folder is on the root of the drive), it will be the same exact layout as a PSP memory card. If I still had easy access to a PS3, I'd do the final conversion myself, but from what I've seen, it's supposed to be possible to do the import from PSP format to PS3 format on a flash drive. I don't know why saves would be showing up as corrupted on the PS3, but if you're using the option on there to "import" the saves, that shouldn't happen. Next time I get a chance, I'll do some testing myself with a PS3 to figure out what's going on and what can be done. Extracted onto a PSP, the saves will be put exactly where they all are supposed to go on a PSP. And saves are not unique to PSP's... I've found that there is no PSP-specific key used for encoding the saves, so it shouldn't matter what PSP they're on. So for those with a PSP, extracted right to the root of the memory card should prompt it asking you whether you want to "overwrite" folders and such (which you can agree to, since it simply adds the files, not overwriting anything unless you've played the game on there already). If somebody can get the saves to convert before I get access to a PS3 for testing and figuring things out, could they please convert the other saves of people having problems? As for your request, wuerzburg... I will get to that soon. Hopefully tonight, but possibly not for a day or two. Once again, I apologize for the delays. Been busy lately with people, so I'm not home at night every night when I'd normally do these conversions. Edit: wuerzburg: I can't grab that new save you want converted right now, because RS is complaining that I'm not a premium member and there's "no more slots available to free users", so hopefully some open up by the next time I get a chance to try and grab the file. Otherwise (and this applies to everybody), FileDen is a pretty good place to use, with no limits on speeds, and good bandwidth and file size limits (for being free to sign up).

Hi Gamesoul Master. Again, thanks for your help in this time of the year. About the saves, the thing is, when I put the content in the root of my flash drive, it wont show up in any place at all at the game save data screen. Where in the XMB should I go to import those saves from my fake "PSP" USB drive? The corrupted data just showed up when I was toying with the locations of the files in my usb drive, just to see if the PS3 would find out the saves. But again, when this happened they werent at the root of my USB, they were in the PS3 export folder. When they were at the root i just couldnt find them. Well, thanks again and if anyone can help me with that final conversion I'd be eternally grateful.

@gamesoul Master I can definitely do it, as I have access to a PS3, however I'm having the same problem too. I extracted it correctly and everything, but the PS3 refuses to recognize it. I'm really curious and wondering why it won't recognize. However, I'll try to figure it out, and when I do, I can help with the conversions, no sweat. And GS, thanks for the help, I appreciate it all. And don't hassle too much over it, it's not a big deal. daimao - Extract it directly into your flashdrive, don't bother dragging it or anything. Everything should then be in the right folders. The only problem is, making it show up on a PS3. ... Has anyone tried using a memory stick to do this? I'm going to attempt it.

@ GamesoulMaster : That was wierd? an Empty savegame eh? Thanks for trying! Additionally, can you try and see whether this save works? db.gamefaqs.com/console/psx/save/final_fantasy_viii_d.gmeThanks again for the help! daimao : have you tried looking at this? www.gamefaqs.com/console/psx/qna/197341.html?qid=14326basically, you should create a folder at your usb memory stick and name it PS3, and inside it, create another folder named EXPORT. Inside the EXPORT folder, create another folder named PSV. Just extract the psv save file inside the PSV folder (do not rename the save file) and copy it within the XMB system into the Virtual Memory Card program.

Updating my status: I managed to get a PSP from a friend of mine. But it turns out the folder that GameSoul Master made me appears as a corrupted file in the PSP and dont show up at all at the PS3.
This PSP is european and the save is for the american version of FF7. Could this be the problem? Or could it be related to the fact that the PSP isnt modded and neither it has an updated firmware?
And supposing I am able to "uncorrupt" the save folder, how would I transfer it to the PS3? Turning the USB mode "on" on the PSP and then selecting in the PS3 XMB? Should I register the PSP with my PS3 first?

Guys, sorry for doubleposting, but I found at the Sony FAQ page (http://manuals.playstation.net/document/en/ps3/2_43/game/pspsavedata.html) that I musta have the 3.4 firmware or higher, wich I dont. That is why the option for transferring the PSP save to PS3 doesnt show up. That takes care of the second question in my previous post. Wich leaves open only the first question: why would the save converted by Gamesoul master show up as corrupted in my PSP. EDIT: Hi, guys. I updated the PSP to the 3.5 version and now I'm able to transfer the PSP saves to my PS3. The only problem left is that the save that Gamesoul Master converted for me shows up as corrupted. But after a lot of googleing i figured out why it shows as corrupted. It seems that the folder in which the VMP saves appear (in my case "SCUS94163") must have the SCEVMC0.VMP AND also three other files: a config.bin, icon0.png and param.sfo. The folder which Gamesoul Master kindly made for me only had the SCEVMC0.VMP file. Thats why it says its corrupted. That said, I think that if I'm able to grab those files missing (they have to be from FFVII US, of that I'm sure), I may be able to finally transfer those saves to my PS3. If anyone of you guys happen to have those files, i'd be forever grateful. Thanks for all of the help anyway. And happy new year in advance.

Hello, Could you please convert these american save files (2) to european versions of FF7 for PS3 (PSV). I tried hex editing the raw save files, which helped me a little bit but I wasn't able to crack the algoritm. (yes, you can call me a fool for trying) Anyways I would be very gratefull if you'd convert these for me because as far as I know the only way is to have a psp or a memcard adapter and i dont have any of those. rapidshare.com/files/242320577/epsxe000.mcr.htmlThanks a lot, Marriej Hello gamesoul, I looked at what you wrote in your previous posts and I wanted 2 ask you if you can convert these save files to european versions of FF7 for PSP (VMP?) since i also have this game on my new PSP go. Ooh and your saying that it could also be possible to do the same from a usb flash drive? While I'm at it I could test your theory since I have a PS3 and PSP available. And if you wanna try and save your RS credits you could try this link: secure.logmein.com/f?DaRcMPCr6avE3wnc8l93i8F77J20ttpR..4sH-F4GAi It only works if my computer is turned on but maybe your in luck Ooh and what is this final conversion you are talking about, do you need to have the game or can you just copy things from the psp to ps3 and that's it? I also noticed you haven't been around for a good time but please post a reply to this post because I do visit these forums from time to time.
