Well, the game asks me to save but there is no memory card, so i go to configuration and the memory card tab, click on the "...." button, but I don't have a memory card.BIN file, so i typed in the name of the new card and clicked open, and so it mounted on to slot 1, then when i go to save it gives me an error(the game itself) and so it takes me back to the point where it asks me if i want to save. Please help, what do i do?

I'm still getting errors when i try to save, the game is Metal Gear Solid, I made it with no game inside, and went to the mmory card section in the PSX start up, but i'm not sure it did anything.

First, some information would be useful, someguy. First, we need to know what OS you're using, what version of the emulator and what version of the game - the game ID is what we actually need. It could be useful to know what BIOS you're using, too.
There are a few things you can try. Look in your memory cards folder (should be called 'cards' if you're using the default), see if the file has actually been created and check the size - it should be 128KB.
Next, try some other games and see if they will save to the card.
If both these conditions are satisfied, this suggests it's your game rather than your system/pSX setup. I've already asked you for the game ID, but how are you playing it; from the CD(s) or from image(s), and if image(s), what format? Have you looked in the Compatibility Lists? A quick look shows me that some versions of this game work, some have problems and some don't work. Problems with saving are not listed, however. It's impossible for me to be more specific since I don't know what version of the game you're playing.
