well, there's not much left to discuss, amaurea said it all ("sram" is the snes equivalent of memory cards. heheh... that was good)... but remember that input recording is one thing, and input re-recording is another.

Well, yes and no, piratesephiroth - true, it's down to pSX Author whether this finds its way into the emulator, but if you want to continue discussing re-recording here, feel free - I find it an interesting subject and I think many other members will, as well.

There's a lot more you can do than that, xtokalon. Apart from joining in discussions, and maybe offering help to people when you get know a bit about the emulator, it's very useful to test games and submit reports - this emulator is still in active development. See the link to Things to Remember when Posting Reports, at the top of every page in the forum, and the Game Compatibility thread.

Wow... It's messages like those that go to show so much more why he wouldn't want help in the first place. I'm certain that he gets so many e-mails from people who offer help and ask questions about things will be done, that it's absolutely ridiculous that people can't understand why he wouldn't reply. And to actually get mad about it and not only insult him but also show such a closed-minded, blind view to his lack of responsiveness... It's just ridiculous.
pSX Author responded to his original message. And judging by the message, pSX Author's very clear stance on that whole topic, and the last message sent to him, it seems that pSX Author stated he didn't need help. He probably also mentioned that he isn't willing to make pSX open source and that he's working on recording and such in pSX already (those last two being more just guesses, but possibly logical assumptions nonetheless). Regardless of the last two, the first one is almost certain, and that *should've* been enough for that guy. To further the communication with questions of when something will be done and offering what he already offered in his first message, why would he expect to get a reply when he already got one?
pSX Author does things on his own time. Everybody who bothers to listen to what he says should realize that by now. And a fellow coder should *especially* realize that someone who does an emulator such as this on this side, in addition to having an important job like pSX Author does, should *definitely* understand.

Well, maybe we should try to change pSX Author's stance on things. People can change.

Just try to do it without being rude and disrespectful.
Put yourself in Author's place and think about how you would respond if you were him.

Is pSXAuthor some kind of evil spirit? Only you gifted medium-admins can talk to him? Why doesn't he come here and say "hey, I'm busy. kthx. cya."?

Is pSXAuthor some kind of evil spirit? Only you gifted medium-admins can talk to him? Why doesn't he come here and say "hey, I'm busy. kthx. cya."? Fact 1: No admin has responded to you. Until now. Fact 2: We're all users as much as you are, administrator or not. Fact 3: A little something called Real Life™ happens with pSX Author... oh, I'd say... just about every day. I don't think that needs any kind of announcement. Fact 4: Recording isn't the only thing pSX Author has on his plate to deal with. He still has to worry about PS2 emulation and general emulation fixes/enhancements in PS1 emulation. Fact 5: pSX Author has been known to hang around on emulation IRC channels. If you want to contact him directly, you can always check them out. The only thing I get out of that link is the realization that some people in that community are rather childish and immature. Telling someone to "wake up" isn't conducive to getting a reply. Nor is asking "are we there yet? are we there yet?"

He already did, you just missed it. LMAO The stars under our names... they aren't for post-count. They're an indication of how far along you are in your psychic training. You have to acquire 3 stars before you can even *sense* his presence... XD

From the random memories dept.
My parents drove to Paris from Denmark in umm around 1981. They brought little things to give to me along the way, like toy cars or games. When there was too much "are we there yet" they would give me something to shut me up.
I was 7 years old.
The "are we there yet" people on the internet are probably 20 years old and they don't want toy cars.
