GCC Compiler for PSX target

Hello everyone,

I'm looking for a way to compile homebrew for a PSX/PS1. The only compilers I was able to find where very old (2.x), and I need at least 3.x and C++ for what I want to do. It should not be too hard to compile my own MIPS R3000 toolchain, so I tried but it can't get it to compile and work.

Does anyone know where to get or how to build a proper gcc toolchain for the PSX?

You didn't actually read (or perhaps, understand) the post carefully if you're asking that question. Maxumus32 is asking about PlayStation software development, not pSX.
