finally was able to convert from iso=>bin/cue=>cdz
I know I know iso don't have all that sub channel data jazz I know but iv'e found most games don't use that crap and lucky for me psx doesn't care about that crap too but word to the wise don't use/make backups with .iso. use cue/bin I got screwed cause back in da good ole cdrwin days I iso'e my arse off. but now since cdz are the shiznit I have good reason to make the pilgrimage form iso2cdz
Tools needed
Now that that's out of the way
First check to see if your ISO is stable just test run it through pSX and watch for error dont worry about cuebin errors just look for stuuf that might or does crash pSX.
now load up ISO in a virtual drive in deamon tool don't even think about power iso it will not work.
use EmuFrontEnd a.k.a BATARD Tool v0.45
www.emuxhaven.net/emuxhaven/frontend/Frontend_v0.45.zip
Go to Tools=>ISO Extractor, set option to Create Binary Image, select drive, select file name and destination. i recommend 2x read speed, then click start.
Batard has a disc imaging tool that makes cue/bins it that reads virtual drives really well it even great at error detection so if it works you'll know you'll know you one step closer to having a working cdz file now this app might make a cue and it might not... still trying to fig that one out. But all we should be worried about is the newly made bin file
for some reason you need cue with your bins pSX can guess your bins mode but there seems to be a performance hit involved when you force pSX to guess the mode so just make one to be safe i got an psx cue pack for emuparadise.com there all eu an jp cue files but the modes are set correctly for each game so just past your bin file name in to the cue and rename them accordingly.
now test you Frankenstein (mah ha ha ha)
if all is well then convert to cdz as normal but there just one catch this process makes the cdz conversion tool act like B&%^& so don't mess with it while it's working but no worries just tell it to covert it again if it farts.
Enjoy the reduced file size and post your results
Oh and don't share theses bastard step-children with anyone! That would be the equivalent to pissing in the gene pool folk. These bins aren't real bin! they just get the job done! so personal use only!
*TESTED* with MGS CD2 [NTSC-U] ;D
