hi there, like to start of by thanking the people responsible for the emulator and its forum. i just have a minor question i'd liked to get answered, is it possible to put the emulator on a psp using homebrew? i've read the forum rules and all, so i don't want links or anything like that (i'm sure i can fend for myself ), i clearly understand the policy and i just want to know if it's possible. thanks in advance!

To be honest, I'm not all too sure that it's possible, unless pSX Author went through the massive effort it would take to port it to PSP. And without knowing the exact specs of the PSP offhand, I'd have to say that it would take a bit of effort to make it run full speed for most games.
If you're simply asking if what has been made so far can be put on a PSP, the answer is no. Unless of course, you can get the PSP to run like... Linux or something, in such a way that pSX would actually be able to run on it.

But you know you will be running on issues of controls. The PSOne has 12 buttons (6 action, 2 stick buttons, and 4 triggers), 2 analog sticks and a D-pad. The PSP has a 8 buttons ( 6 action, 2 triggers) one analog stick and the D-pad.

Well, presumably, as far as controls are concerned, games that don't require the full complement of controls could be played - and most Playstation games don't seem to require the full complement of controls to be played satisfactorily. But pSx is a closed source emulator and pSX Author has demonstrated considerable reluctance to allowing anyone else access to the source for porting (or any other reason). So, as GM has said, the only ways it could happen would be if pSX Author decided to port it himself (and, as he's been unwilling to agree an XBox port before now, if it were possible it would be very far down the list...) or if you could run it on Linux on a PSP. You'd probably have to produce a very small sized Linux installation for that, but still include all the necessary libraries etc to run pSX properly, and I doubt it would ever run at an acceptable speed. So, no. Expect President Bush to announce total US nuclear disarmament first...
