I have to say, I'm a bit disappointed. I was hoping ccd support would be added by now. It's a prevalent format, and it's not exactly a huge job. Emulating CDROM drives is more important than image formats. Mainly because it helps people play their black PSX CDs directly ("A Good Thing"(tm)). I just managed to play an image file loaded in to Daemon Tools, so I imagine most people should be able to.

The point is, clonecd is just as popular as bin/cue, and unlike bin/cue, it can actually rip subchannel information, a requirement for certain PAL copy protected games to work. It's also an easier program to use for ripping, with practically no configuration involved and a cleaner interface. It's actively developed by an overseas company who is impervious to being shut down by U.S. media giants. Clonecd... kicks... ass. And we need support for it.

Many thanks, I was hoping to see Valkyrie Profile perfectly emulated! ;D ;D ;D Unfortunatly the psx dual shock original controller still can't be configured... A cheap usb imitation will suffice for now

Nice release pSX 1.2 but i think the emu has problem with long names I've radikal bikers bla bla blah.bin files and when i load it emu says failed to load.. Thus the games don't show pseudo 3D graphics..so is unplayeblale. Pls can you fix it?

Luke, that is not very wise of you. When he reveals that, he will. Do not ask him about it now. Focus on pSX emulator only.

1.SUPPORT TO CHOOSE WHICH CD DRIVE TO LOAD FROM!! I'm not sure what you mean... when you select "Insert CD drive" it takes you to a dialog where you select the drive! Are you perhaps running under Win98 using ASPI? If so read the section in the readme about ASPI carefully (in Win98 there is NO way to correctly map SCSI IDs to drive letters, but the emulator allows you to specify the mapping in the .ini file). 3.It has looping problems Try running with the -S option - this fixes looping problems in several games (eg. Xenogears, FFT, Valkyrie Profile). I hope to fix this properly soon.

It's also an easier program to use for ripping, with practically no configuration involved and a cleaner interface. It's actively developed by an overseas company who is impervious to being shut down by U.S. media giants. Clonecd... kicks... ass. And we need support for it. A CloneCD .CCD file does not contain subchannel data. CloneCD stores it in a .SUB file, only if you enable the option to read subchannel data when extacting the image. Agreed, subchannel data is useful for some PAL protected games. However, the number of subchannel data sectors required is actually quite minimal. ePSXe allows you to read and cache subchannel data from your CDROM drive, and the cache file is only 71kb in size. So support for .CCD doesn't bring anything new to the table, apart from allowing those files to be loaded directly. To get the subchannel data, the .SUB file would need read as well. And that assumes the internals of the emulator already support emulation of the subchannel reading routines.

pSX Author, I am back and tested on Megaman 8/Rockman 8 and they runs perfectly speeds, good job! But Tron Ni Kobun at the last level wont go further and is the same as the last version v1.1. Hope you are able to fix something about that because ePSXe can run this Tron Ni Kobun without any problem. Alots of improvement indeed and GOOD JOB!

If You are running XP then run this program under compatiblity mode (me/98) and it will fix the looping instability issue, also it seems to run better with hyper threading disabled
You can use cdrwin extract disk/tracks/sectors option to make a compatible bin/cue file that this emulator will recognize.

cdrwin extract disk/tracks/sectors option seemed to work for all of the games that i tried (about 8) not one of them didn't work after i converted them (takes about 20 seconds it the image is on your hard drive)
Some of the bin cue files that i had didn't work and cdrwin fixed that
Its kinda sad that inability to switch cd drives for one thing my d drive is a card reader attached to my printer and and thats the one it uses by default.
THIS EMULATO ROCKS!! IT PUTS BLEEM TO SHAME, BLEEM WAS NEVER A GOOD EMULATOR
VGS was okay but its outdated and never gets updated
My only complaint is lack of graphics enhancements like full screen filtering... From what i understand texture filtering isn't a viable option with psx without some modifications as it produces graphics glitches
